hammer of kathandrax?
Silvia Shadowback
After seeing a screenshot of a legendary survivor with a time of 48 minutes and people saying the used hammers of kathandrax i was wondering a little more about them. How do they work, just use one and gain X amount of exp? Also the wiki says they are not tradeable, but still in-game i see people trying to buy them. So I assume that they are able to be traded?

7500 XP and 1500g for each hammer turned in. Wiki says it "Can't be sold", meaning, to the merchant; however, it can be sold/traded to players...

To make it slightly clearer, Kathandrax's Crusher is not a usable weapon, it is a quest item.

It's a quest item....
You start a new character (best is tyria/elona).
Do some main quests in tyria to get out of presearing and then let someone run you to Lions Arch -> with Quest to Cantha -> some more quests until lvl 10 -> Eotn.
Do 1 mission in elona, get ferry to docks -> ferry to cantha -> few quests untill lvl 10 -> Eotn.
In Eotn you should get a runner / do some quests to get to Vanguard Areas.
Get a runner to dungeon (with hammer's in your inventory)....
Quest-Giver is in front of dungeon gate....
Then you just always zone from Dungeon to area to dungeon to area and so on....
And always give the hammer to the quest giver to get the reward of 7500exp + few k....
After you gave away 175 (?) Hammers.... you got over 1,337,000 exp or how much legendary takes and got the title.

So, basically when I saw someone in search WTB Survivor title, he wasn't joking. I usually give Anet the benefit of the doubt on things, but, this has always existed and they never bothered to fix it. That's pathetic, but not as much as the people who earn the title this way.

This is merely an option for people to get easy survivor with cash instead of time. Either spend some plat and buy it, or spend a few hours boxing.

Whether this or HFFF or leaching.
This is no worse then what anybody else has done. Besides, a lot of people could be doing this by completing the dungeon with an alt and then just trading them in mass to the survivor (thereby, in a sense, getting the title themselves, just on a different character then the one that did the work).

Not everybody. Legendary survivor can be got with H/H play, doing exploration and missions, elite hunting and vanquishing. Lags occur, whatever you're facing shiro or boxing.

yeah i did it with H/H and let me tell you it was not nice, if someone offered to sell me 175 kath hammers at the time i was going for teh title i would have paid alot for them. just becasue there are different ways to get the titles doesnt mean some of them are bad ways. that is like saying oh no you cant buy the sweet and party titles oh no you have to farm mandragors to get root cakes.

Question: If you have several of this quest item in your inventory when you turn in the quest, will he only take 1 item at a time? Some quests may require 5 items and when you have 10, all are taken from inventory.
Also, does that mean running from closest outpost after you abandon quest 100+ times?
