Legendary Survivor Questions.
Trap Tester
Well since I came back a few weeks ago and I wanted something new to do I want to make a Legendary survivor. I have some easy questions:
- What cheaper Boxing dungeon or those Hammers things?
- What scrolls should I use for the boxing dungeon?
- If Hammers of K. are cheaper how do use/get them and what are they?
- If I get knocked down during Kilroys can I just map travel or /resign and not get a death?
- Which class is the best for this I was thinking of doing a Necro or Monk?
Any and all help is appreciated.

Boxing is cheaper yet more dangerous
Scrolls to buy are A) If you're very fast the triple exp for kills every 30 seconds or if you're just fast the 250% for every 5 mins of a boss killed.
Hammers aren't cheaper, you buy them in bulk off of a seller and cash in the reward outside of Doomlore Shrine at 7.5k xp per hammer.
You can't resign or map out if you get knocked down, you will probably die, and if you lag, spam 8 and hope for the best. You should get knocked down regularly as well, wasting a lot of scrolls
Best class is the one with the highest armor, imo it's the paragon, but take whatever you like, the difference isn't that big

I did Kilroys for mine. Very cheap. Light Bringer scrolls are about 1.5k each. You can come out of the dungeon with upwards for 30k exp in HM from 1 scroll. 1 Hammer at 3.5k each is only 7.5k exp.
If you get knocked down click on "Stand Up!" and press 8 at the same time. You should have NO problem standing up. If worse comes to worse then you can always map out or X out. I would just do scrolls,

The best profession to use for Boxing is a Warrior. Why? Well, because Warriors have 100AL vs physical damage and everything in the dungeon is physical damage.
You can further make yourself harder to kill by throwing on a "received physical damage -3" inscription (Knight's) to all of your armor pieces. Make sure to throw a sup absorption to your chest since the chest piece of your armor gets hit the most.
I recommend adding a +5AL (defensive dagger handle) mod to your daggers as well. While you're at it, add a 10% furious dagger tang to your brass knuckles.

I found all the tips in this Unofficial Wiki Article to be very effective -- modding the Thunderfist's Brass Knuckles, using full Stalwart Insignias + Recovery + Restoration (your HP is fixed and you don't want energy), and binding extra keys to Skill 8. Also, set your secondary to Assassin and put 12 into Dagger Mastery, though I'm not sure how much that really helps.
Other than that, just keep an eye on your knockdowns. If you've been floored too many times, it will take longer to stand up. Once your max energy climbs to 50-70 (depending on how fast you can STAND UP!), you might consider mapping/GH'ing out (X is unreliable) and restarting.

I want to make a Necro or Monk so can I use certain Runes for armor bonuses? And would a dervish be nice for this also?

It's how I got Legendary Survivor on my 20+ characters. If you want LS on a particular character then by all means go ahead and do it. There's no reason not to.

I haven't done the Hammer yet, but i have done the math. Boxing is much cheaper, BUT it will take you MUCH longer than Hammer. Also Boxing has a MUCH MUCH HIGHER chance of death. If done right, Hammer has 0% chance of death, NO JOKE!! For the Boxing you will have to buy many scrolls and then go through the dungeon, one run takes abouts 10min, me thinks. Hammers cost 2-2.5k and you need, I think, 174 of them to get to Legendary Survivor from lvl 10. BUT when you turn in a Hammer, you get 1.5k back as a reward for the quest!!!!!!!!!!! So really each Hammer cost 500gp-1k!!!!!!!! So how do you do it the Hammer way?
1) Buy Hammers
2) Create a new character
3) get to lvl 10 without ANY death
4) Get to EOTN
5) Find a runner to one of the outposts in the Charr Homeland (like 500gp)
6) Find a runner to to the dungeon Catacombs of Kathandrax (could be the same runner as above).
7) The dude with the quest is right outside the dungeon, so all you have to do is this: take quest/accept reward -->zone into dungeon-->zone out of dungeon-->take quest/accept reward -->zone into dungeon-->zone out of dungeon--> rinse and repeat, easy as that. You never have to fight a single enemy, after getting to EOTN of course.

You are correct in saying that Superior Absorption is good. You are wrong in saying that it should go on the chest. The effect is global so it makes no difference where you put it.

Ok boxing is extremely easy especially with berserker scrolls which is 50kexp per 8 minutes. It is REALLY hard to die in it especially if you follow wiki's legendary survivor guide and hotkey your "8" button to multiple keys and spam them. Only risk really is if you d/c or something.
