ppl reporting me
Lawliet Kira
Today ive been doing the zservice that ppl offer on guru here in the service thread but i was offering it in ALL chat, and random ppl started pming say reported, i know that it might look like a scam, but would they ban me just for ppl reporting me without any proof?

If you were selling a service, and advertising it in Local Chat, they were reporting you for spamming. Use the Trade Channel. Format your ad in the "P"arty window, to make sure the important part of your message can be seen.
Voodoo Rage
Typically services get offered in all-chat. People offering to run missions and run to outposts almost always spam in all-chat NOT trade. I think there is a certain segment of the GW population that just sits around reporting people all day for innocuous stuff.

The way I see it, if you're selling or buying an ITEM, you need to keep it in Trade Chat.
If you're offering a service (running to a town, running a mission, offering a Zaishen Key Service or even begging for gold) or recruiting for a guild (as long as the invite does not require the member to pay to get into the guild {aka, gold/silver trim guilds}, then it belongs in Local Chat/is okay to advertise in Local Chat.

VooDoo Rage hit the nail right on the Nugget! There are many people who simply live to be asshats.
Most people get up in the morning brush their teeth get dressed eat some chow and head out into the world to do what they do. They dont piss on anyones parade without some sort of just cause.
The other people (the ones Voodoo pointed to) get up look in the mirror HATE what they see and then share that bile with EVERYONE they make contact with.
On topic, dont sweat it. You wont get banned for doing something that is an accepted practice.

also if you were doing it in american distirct 1 in GToB.... well i hang out there alot. Its close on the trolling meter as shing jea is.
So dont sweat it if you were legit doing the service, the ppl didnt know you exspect for that. Now, wether it looks like a scam or not is up to the gw computer....

It could sound like a scam to the general population. Not many people use those zservices and to ask someone who you just met to trust you with there zkeys could potentially sound like a scam. I understand that you weren't but I would suggest to keep it in the ventari section on guru to avoid conflicts in the future.

I just think people don't know what you are talking about and assume its a scam.
Don't worry though, 90% of the time, /reports don't lead to anything. It sorta just tags your account. A.net doesn't actually do an investigation until you get reported a lot (or if you get reported once with a lot of proof via the support website).
