Hello everyone i'm just wondering how GW is doing i left about 7 months ago for Aion but it too is starting to get boring.. :/ Is there still a lack of players/updates? I know they nerfed SF and 600/smite but apart from that what's changed? Has there been any new news on GW2?? i only went to Aion to hold me off till that came out.

Thnx for anyone who replies!

Basically, all farming sets have gotten nerfed. (The 'easy' ones). Like, 12 people are ever online at a time. Its pretty lonely. I tried myself to come back but it just didn't have the same feel. I talked to some old guild mates but it wasn't as fun as I remember it being.

There are still plenty of active guilds and alliances out there, and there's been some new content added (War in Kryta) that you might like looking into. They've also been introducing professions for gw2 every month or so (up to 3 so far) if you haven't been keeping up with that.

They are introducing new content to cover what happened after you beat the Great Destroyer. For GW2 info check out guildwars2guru.com

These threads come up nearly daily. That in itself should prove GW is not just relevent, but alive and healthy.

It will never achieve the excitement and freshness of a new title, but thats not all bad either. There is something to be said for a title that has its legs under it and can implement new content and develop its lore past the opening stages.

I think there is a great deal left to unfold before GW2 is launched. Id be willing to bet youll see a flurry of new content (game play/ lore) between now and the launch of GW2.

The above is all crap. There's still plenty of content and people enjoying the game. And many farming spots available. If you come back, try some of the War In Kryta content. The final mission/quest is a lot of fun.

lots of news on GW2, check Guild wars 2 guru and the website for details. more people online than before the canthan new year event i think, newbies seem to be buying the game, and mission outposts usually have quite a few people in them even when its not the zquest. the war in kryta just ended, but there is definetley going o be more similar content coming our way soon.

i was thinkin about this thread and realized that you used to use builds like SF and 55monk types. These builds required some movement and enchantment upkeep... Now ya use Rit spammer.. Now thats a all purpose all over the place OP build.

POP spirits move back wait 15 seconds ...collect loot... move on to the next unfortunate mob.

in summary farming solo is easier now... yea i think it is.. and this is coming from a solo RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO of the worst kind lmao.

War in Kryta gave us some nice new PvE content to chew on, and we'll be getting a few more chapters in that between now and GW2 coming out. Population is stable, imo; there are a bunch of new players coming in from all the GW2 hype, there are plenty of people doing ZMissions and bounties, and the wait times for AB this weekend (bonus weekend) were literally non-existent when I was playing (hit enter battle, was in within a minute).

On the other hand, it's still GW. If you liked it then, you'll like it now. If you didn't like it when you quit, there's nothing much that's changed, just a bit of new content.
