Death of Farming greens?

I used to be able to farm the woe spreader on my sin now that they "destroyed" and nerfed the living daylights out of the sin I can't even farm tacos. So I was looking for a build for my ele to farm him and thought I did but low and behold the can get through anything I throw at ssesik woe spreader cause he is a necro. Any one have a build to farm him on Ele or something. They keep nerfing everything soon we won't even be able to play this game and I DOUBT I will waste my money to get GW 2 because of how they are destroying GW 1

Ah, this reminds me of that guy after the Shadow Form 'nerf' who said "Anet nerfed farming, they killed shadow form farming and I can't do anything any more!"
His proof?
He made a youtube video trying to farm bosses with the exact same build he used before the nerf (yes, including using both glyph of swiftness and deadly paradox to maintain SF with 16 shadow arts...).
And yes, he was absolutely serious.
Some people just can't adapt or think outside the box somebody else made and handed to them.

Listen you can farm just about any green fairly easily with a spirit spammer. Just bring a full party with you, preferably loaded with single target damaging skills that you can direct targets for (you don't want your party killing the boss accidentally, so minions actually might be counterproductive). Party wide running buffs like "Fall Back!" are great for getting you there and letting you just run past mobs on the way. Have your party clear out anything that you can't readily handle solo (Dervishes tend to kill your spirits fairly readily and Monks are just a pest). Then flag your party away off the radar so their names are entirely greyed out. Now just nuke the boss and any stragglers with your spirits. It's really all about getting a feel for the mob that you are working with and knowing a good point to send that party running away. I farmed a whole bunch of Ssynn's staffs and Woe Spreaders really easily with this method. Another staff that not a lot of people farm is Sadi's Benediction which is nice for ER Protters.

ArenaNet buffed Shadow Form. You must be doing it wrong. Look on PvX for builds if you don't want to create them yourself. Woe Spreader is a crappy weapon.

woe spreader is actually one of the easier greens to farm because you can pull him out of his mob.. it can be done with any class- run up from gayla =] I'm with you on the sf nerf.. there was a lot of cool farms you could do with sf that your average knucklehead couldn't.. it wasn't nerfed that badly though- can still use
just the old way made simple farms like this brainless.. try pulling it works great.. I'm all for farmers in the game- keeps it rolling otherwise you end up with the usual supposed elitists telling you how slow they want you to play and noones left in the servers

funny how destroying a sin is some people's view. at least it's more fun now.
PLEASE don't get GW2, like you said because it will be better off without people always wanting god mode and complaining when the game is fair.

I've decided to re-create my sin just cos this made me think hold on a sec what about the way of the assassin build which works great at farming woe's and other boss greens.

I still don't know why people farm anything. I do something called "garbage collecting" where I collect the drops people don't pick up and sell them to the merchant. You'd be surprised the "treasure" people don't care about.

it's no wonder why you can't go into kamadan and pick up anything you wanted like in the past
it's easy to put down people who ask for help
if you lose all the casual players.. we end up with the game we have now- I mean is anyone here actually playing or waiting for more wik content to come along.. even if your grinding for titles- be nice to have people to buy your mods and stuff

Haha, I just want SF to be completely ruined because it causes so many people to QQ. "I used to be able to farm 50 ectos daily using SF build, now I can't THE GAME IS RUINED. I WANT TO RUN AROUND CASTING MINDLESSLY AND TO MAKE A LOT OF MONEY!" Why not trying to actually play the game, or try a different profession...?

As one of the sorry sods who actually enjoyed green farming back then, your options with SF are extremely limited now--especially given the fact that sliver is not single target damage. Possible? Yes. It requires quite a bit of adaptability, creativity and patience, but that increased vulnerability to attacks makes things like the Woe Spreader virtually impossible via SF. If you're REALLY passionate about green farming, check out this build and try it out.

I abused the hell our of shadow form and I still do. As for the woespreader, its a good green for your necros. I dont care what anyone else says. But I farmed it alot last green event weekend with my SoS rt. I got enough to outfit most of my necros. As for Shadow Form, its still a lol win button. Im not complaining, just stating the obvious.

Well, let me be the first then, because I could care less about what anyone thinks. I really dislike the game nerfs as well.
If a person is a big fan of making builds for themselves or likes to use the premade builds in wiki, then sure, nerfing is not a problem for them.
But making builds is not part of the game that I enjoy enough to do more than once. Yes, I do indeed like to sit down and figure out a build for my character maybe one time. I like to make it unique and then I never want to do it again. I want to say, "There, that's done. I have made my character and now I can play the game."
Over time, I may tweak my build a bit, or I might make a few builds for one character for different applications, but I never want to completely remake a whole build just because someone else has forced me too. It's annoying.
So yeah, I don't care for nerfs.
