Hello everyone, I'm new to this so bare with me I'm interested in purchasing a second account (legally of course), but have realized that the only option NCsoft gives is to buy all of the games a second time, in order to recieve an access key. So my question is, how does one purchase an access key without the unneccessary software (as I have all campaigns)? Say if I were to buy the game of the year edition, would I be able to use existing access keys to allow the characters of my new account to be able to go to all of the campaigns, or do I really have to spend another $60 for a new account? I've asked around a bit, but didn't get a straightfoward answer, and was hoping that someone who has done this from experience could help me out. Thanks in advance

That I would ask NCSoft, there are sites out there where you can buy just the key, however I wouldn't trust them. I would defente ask NCSoft, seems to me they should be able too sell you a key of course. However if I am not mistaken, each CDKey is different for each exp. So I cannot really see how that would work.

I know for myself I had to buy all the exps and each had different CDKeys, but the whole one will have a single CDKey. I would ask NCSoft if they sell CDKeys as a bundle.

many times there are sales for the trilogy for less than the cost of one of the chapters, check around to some of the reputable sites to see if any one currently has a sale going.

As Cosyfiep says store prices are so far as I know well below the online price.

You may well end up with extra boxes discs and so on but it will be far cheaper that way.

In the UK Play.com will sell you "Guild Wars the complete collection" that's all 4 games for £14-99 and free postage.

If you dont want all the cd boxes etc you could just buy it @ steam they only provide you with the acces keys will require you to install steam but after you've used the codes you shouldn't need it anymore.

if you don't care just get the cheapest one from a well known website cause steam probaly isn't the cheapest only when there are sales @ steam its really worth buying games there imo.

1. You can buy the Trilogy (all three campaigns) through download at NCSoft, Steam and direct2drive. That would give you one access key for everything with no boxes.

2. You can buy the Trilogy retail in a local store (if they have it) or online usually for a reduced price. (DO NOT buy a used game. Access keys cannot be reused or transferred.)

3. A separate account is a SEPARATE account. Characters from one account cannot access another account.

You're looking at it backwards, as if you're buying software and just happen to get an access key to go with it.

The software is all free. You can download the client for free right from the official Web site without buying anything.

When you buy a boxed version, you are not paying for the software, you are paying for the key. The price of the box is the price of the key and they throw a disk with the free software into the box as a convenience. All GW purchases -- boxed or online -- are purchases of access keys.

A GW account is simply one or more keys. Each account must have its own keys and you can't use keys that are already used on a different account.

My suggestion is to search Amazon.com I have gotten a second account and bought a never used full software boxed edition - delivered to my home for less than $14 (and that includes the shipping cost). Amazon is a great way to get the legitimate software and more importantly the keys to open a second account.

buy the boxed product not to be silly or anything but its so much cheaper at the moment. not sure where you can get the access keys only, unless you make a new plaync account then buy the keys. but seriousley, for £15 for the complete collection/trilogy in some places you're better off buying from somewhere like amazon rather than NCsoft, even if you throw out the boxes straight away

Another advantage of buying the boxed version is that you get a physical plastic card with the access code on them "well that's what I got"

I recon that is better than buying online where I am assuming you get an online message with the codes and a note to print them off and not to lose them.

I find scraps of paper with numbers on far easier to lose than a box

Thank you all very much for your input, it helped a lot. I will defenitely check out Amazon or some of the other sites listed to find a good deal. Your concept is interesting Brett, that the physical object is not the important part. Thanks again for your help everyone.

With steam you can always look up you'r acces key @ any given moment though so losing it with steam isn't an option (atleast this way bfbc 2 / borderlands / MoH functions on my steam account)
