Hi all,
I'm asking this because i've received conflicting answers in-game.
I was told that you get champ points just by being in a top 100 guild; that they automatically accumulate after a certain time, and you dont have to participate in guild battles. (Edit: By being in a guild with rating above 1200)
Is this true? The statement on the wiki leads me to believe that you actually have to participate in guild battles, yet more than one person told me that you don't.
Please clear this up for me,
Thanks

Question about Champ points

Champen
Champ points have nothing to do with top100
ser
When two guilds, both with a rating of 1200 or above face off in a ranked GvG match, every player on the winning team earns one champ point. So yes, you do have to participate in GvG to earn Champ points.

The wiki states that Acquisition is the result of "fighting" in guild battles, not cheering from the sidelines. So if you don't participate, you will not get points.

Check this out.
I believe champ range battles start at around rank 200 and below; I'm really not sure. I haven't done any champ-range GvG (or any GvG for that matter) in over a year. But basically, champ points are only obtained when both participating guilds are at minimum 1,200 rating.
