Not picking up all gold.

Howdy all,

I've noticed recently that not all of the gold I pick up is being added to my inventory. I'm soloing with heroes and henchmen, just exploring Nightfall, but whenever I pick up dropped gold only ~10% gets added to my inventory!
Is this normal? Are there guild fees I don't know about, or is the gold being split between my Prophecies character (which I'm using in Nightfall) and my Nightfall character?

I've searched this forum and haven't found anything about it.

Thoughts?

Gold drops are split evenly across the party, including heroes and henchmen.

Let's say 80g drops. You have a party of 8. You get 10g. It doesn't matter if the 7 others are people, heroes or henchmen. The only way to get all the gold is to go solo (party of 1).

beat me to it. Your not "soloing" if u got heros and henchman btw. So, as preety much hired out help you get a lower droprate of other drops, and u share the gold split between 8 ppl.

It's not called solo farming if you still take heroes and henchmen with you. That still counts as if you took a group. So like the first person said the gold gets split. To truly solo farm you have to be completely by yourself when you go into a explorable area.

The only mystery is what the heroes do with all their loot.

They always need me to buy runes and so on I even give them their weapons.

Never yet when I have been playing has a decent gold weapon appeared in their inventory.

MAybe they have a gambling addiction or drink it all.

They are saving for their retirement. And I think Mhenlo has a lot of kids scattered around.

Ever been to a gold selling site? yeah...thats where their gold goes...

and you thought those were funded by the bergan bots didn't you...

Been playing for over a year and never noticed...

But thank you all for the info, I really appreciate it. And thanks for not flaming by butt. Some of us are just a little slower than the rest.

I would be cool to use the gold the heroes picked up, to buy them new armors or runes etc.

Ohh so that's where all the gold came from,
everytime I open bankbox there's usually 100k-200k more, it must be a contribution from all the henchmen and heroes :-)

I run missions for money, sadly my heroes started revolting and are claiming their share as well now... Now I only make 3k for running Abbadons Mouth in HM...

I always hate that part. At least with heroes. Doesn't make much sense since you have to pay for their EQ.

Ing Fryr, it's not just gold, they also rotate thru item drops, so if you wonder why mobs never drop anything decent... they do, it just wasn't your turn

If you know there is going to be a drop you want, you can flag your hencies far away (their names will go gray in the party list), then kill whatever mob or open whatever chest, and the drop will be yours.... then cancel the flag an your party will come running back.

No flames because we find this subject humorous. But we can post some if you feel left out.

Well I like how they take all that gold and drops and then complain when they don't have a weapon.
