Attack/Move Command for Heroes
Wish Swiftdeath
So I was playing a little starcraft and I figured this would make the game more fun. Anet could add an attack/move mode for heroes where you can flag them and they will attack things on the way rather than just running non-stop until they arrive at the flag.

Why?
just dont be lazy, and flag them at the mob? If you flag your heroes to a place, their goal is to get there, no matter what in the way.
but , anything that "improves" AI is good.

That is good idea, probably the only command heroes are missing. Almost good idea as bringing back hero battles!

What's the use for it? flagging them on the other side of the map so you can afk while they clear everything for you? Oh please....

I have no problem with such commands even better if they also added formation commands as are found in strategy games.
The game was intended to be a multi player game with other people, the henchmen were just to fill in where needed.
Guess what that was then and this is now, the game is all that it was intended to be and a whole lot more.
As such it appeals to a far greater number of players, some of whom want to command their army of Ai characters in an efficient manner.
Sure it makes pve a whole lot easier does that ruin the game for anyone, not so far as I can see and if it affects pvp too much then all they need to do is make the commands pve only.
Being able to fully customise my party, arrange them as I wish before and during combat would be great.
Its impossible at the moment to do much once combat starts.
Don't be short sighted make GW better than it ever was and let more players enjoy it.
Don't like it yourself ok don't use it.

I still can't see why you should flag your h/h in a point that has foes in the run. It could only be useful if you were going afk and making ai do the work, just as I said previously. So, unless there's a valid reason for it, I see no utility. For the game, not only "beacuse I don't like it".

Pointless suggesstion. Just flag them in a mob, rinse and repeat.

No point to this really.

Your point is good, but I think it's got nothing to do with the OP suggestion. In what manner making heores fight while they're running to the flag give more customization?

I would like to see many more additions to the game presetting formation and general orders is one.
Being able to map to more areas is another its just a case of reducing the number of steps to get where I want to.
Sure its not important to many often because they do not want the team to waste time on unimportant additions.
I am not a programmer and I suspect most of those who post here have little experience in that line so we don't know what time these additions would take.
I am pretty sure that there is a lot of redundant code in this game from when it was in development.
They may well have some of our ideas already programmed into the game but turned off.
Adding what the op suggested might be a case of an hours work or many weeks we simple do not know.
