Good update, bad update, or no update, any one of them will bring complaints from someone on guru. When life changes you adapt, GW is only a game , do the same.

It almost seems like they(the team) are tired of GW2 already and just want the game out.

So basically Anet has been the "real" Blizzard and now this decision is carrying the torch to Undead Labs. Wouldn't be the first time this has happened in the game industry, though based on certain examples (The Sims 3, Fallout 3, etc.), this doesn't bode well for the future of GW.

I'm happy for them as they're going to do what they like most, but still the sensation is we're starting to be abandoned puppies (just a sensation, not a consirancy theory ).
Anet should just go ahead and allow Reaper with No Name to make the Dervish update.

So basically, that's the most stupid thing I have heard all day. If you know anything about Blizzard(and Arenanet) then it should be that their structure seems focused around their entire team, and not a few "star designers".

I case you haven't noticed, the ArenaNet people and the Flagship Studios people, both groups with amazing talent and wonderful people, left both companies long before WoW was done, not to mention it's great expansions or Starcraft 2, which is every bit as good as the original, even though James Phinney is not at the helmet anymore.

It's a team effort, that has made Blizzard so succesful, and probably the same with Anet. That's not a guarentee, that GW2 will be a great game, but it testify that GW1 was a great game.
New blood, is always good, as long as there is a good management to control that new blood.

Just saying that when these "star designers" leave, franchises often lose their original flavor: Tim Cain and Will Wright certainly didn't envision the current incarnations of Fallout and The Sims. Then again, considering today's gaming is a different beast than in years past, there's an innumerable amount of factors that could come into play. Call me old-fashioned, I suppose.

As someone who has experienced something similar, I can confirm that sometimes such promotions do indeed lead to unhappiness :\
