Hey,

For the third time today, I've disconnected in the Fronis Irontoe brawling dungeon, in the exact same spot. I've never disconnected in any other place, at least, not this type of disconnect. As soon as I reach the part with the 2 groups of 2 stonewolves, and 2 stone summit, I disconnect within about 5 seconds. A message pops up saying that GW had to close, and gives me the option to send an email to A-Net with details about the problem. It's happened 3 times, same exact place every time. Normally, I wouldn't be too upset. Ive lost 3 survivor characters this way now though. It's getting a little old. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Thanks,
Haz.

It looks like you don't simply get disconnected, but your Guild Wars client crashed. With a normal disconnect you don't get the option to send an email to the program author, and the game client is not closed. Instead, you get a info box giving you the option to try to reconnect.

Your gw.dat may be broken - reinstall the game and optionally do a "gw.exe -image" to update your dat file with the latest game data.

Make sure your comp meets the minimum specs for EOTN. On one of my comps the GPU is very old and this happens.

EDIT: Of course if you've gotten past that particular point on the computer you're using before with the exact same setup, its not that.

It may have something to do with the recent server change. If that's the case send a message to the Live Team and stay off survivor chars in the meantime.

The other day I tried running some quests in Sorrow's Furnace. I disconnected nearly 12 times within a hour and I finally got so pissed I just ran around and did other stuff. Never had a single problem with my ping rate in any other part of the game (and I ran through Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, and EtoN). This was 2 days after the server transfer. Haven't bothered to try and go back.

You're not alone, I had my client crash numerous times in there too. It wouldn't have been so bad if I weren't up to 1.28 million xp. I've since upgraded my video card, I'm thinking that may have been part of the issue.

I had the GW client crash in this manner on me a couple of weeks ago, before the server update. It's only done that maybe half-a-dozen times or so in the 2 1/2+ years I've been playing the game, and in this particular case, I'm pretty sure it was a out-of-memory issue. Restarting the computer solved the problem. Good thing I didn't have a survivor candidate at stake at the time. I've had several lag spikes the last few days that really scared me, though, as I was shepherding a new rit char to LS, but I made it this morning. (And I did it while having to take less than 10 Irontoe runs, too!)
