So, do I need to pull groups or will single creatures do for death leveling?
Whilst a group will kill faster, a single creature will gain Xp quicker.
Am I mistaken or not?
I've never really bothered w. a Pre char until recently, so pls don't go "Panning" this post a daft noob question ;-)
Thx in advance
Death level question, Pre (yet another)

Grabbing multiple groups of char is the fastest method.
You're not mistaken, but the correlation between time and xp favors killing char.

There was an online guide that gave the optimum method of reaching level 20 and gaining the defender title.
It explained at what point you should take the points for completed missions, when and how to death level etc.
If its still available might be worth checking before its too late.

Definitely pull groups. They will also kill you faster than one foe and so gain exp at a faster rate than one foe trying to kill you

Although they answered your questions sufficiently above, the above is a great site for all of your pre-searing needs.

well when you get into situation of spending 20 hours just to get one group of char to lvl 20, the sec per death really add up.
for example i can death lvl a pet in 30 mintues from 5 to 20 with mesmers with rebirth, but char take much longer. plus you got to contend with un even lvling and other junk
