Trying to return...
Raiven4625
I am trying to start playing GW again after about three years of not playing the game. However due to the long hiatus, I can no longer remember my account name or password. Is there anywhere that I can go to retrieve the info, or do I have to buy new key codes, which in turn would result in me finding a different game to play. Any help would be appreciated.

OK, due to the lack of replies, and the replies to the post below mine(slightly diff problem there however), I figure I have no chance of retrieving my acc info. Well, thank you very much to NCSoft for failing to have the foresight to allow people to retrieve info. I guess they never planned on people wanting to actually come back to the game after long hiatus. Any GM that cares to look at this thread can feel free to delete the thread, and have the knowledge that not only will I not return to GW, I plan on blacklisting NCSoft all together. If they have the same attitude of "if you leave, your screwed" with all their games, I will be more than happy to not have to deal with such a lack of caring about the players. So thank you for nothing.

i'm unsure if you will actually read this but you might want to contact support. if you still have your old key codes they might be able to help you retrieve the relevant information

As for your account, how about contacting Support? Did you even attempt that? It seems from what you are saying, that you didn't.
As long as you still have your account info (CD Keys, Email, personal information, etc), you can easily get your account back. They have a number to call, an address to send an email to, and you can send a support ticket on the site.

Retrieve info - you mean set up a database for account hackers? It is not their fault you failed to save your data somewhere.
Just email [email protected] and put LOST LOGIN INFO in the subject line. Give them as much detail as you can, Access Keys, rough date of purchase, character names, etc.

contact support and just be completely honest giving any details you can remember even partial email address might help.
Answer any questions to the best of your ability and don't be rude or lose you temper.
They will try to help and if they can identify your account and its as you say been unused for the time you say they will make a judgment call and return your account.
If all else fails you will have to buy again.
Have you checked if you have any screenshots with character names ? anything that will convince them.
Good Luck

NCSoft support is very responsive compared to other companies I've dealt with. Perfect? No. But pretty good.
As for advice: Your login name will be the full email address you entered when you first registered. Even if that is a dead email account, it will always be your login name. As for the password, only you and NCSoft know this. I would imagine that if you explain your predicament to them via a support ticket, they might be willing to email the password to your original eaddy, or create a temporary password and do the same. Third, they added a security feature where you also have to type in the name of one of your characters. Hopefully in that steel trap memory of yours you can remember a character name.
Good luck and be patient.
