hey! havn`t played guild wars for years and would like some feed back on easy things so i can start enjoy guild wars then just run around like a moron.

1.pvp where can u sign up for it ? with random people, just to get some quick start into pvp.
2.to get titles what do u need to do ? complete missions ? open chest that is randomly put out thrue explore able areas ? explore area/map ?
3.does gear matter ? cuz what i`ve red is that this is more of a skill based game,
i know u can apply runes to make it more suit to your play style and so on.
4. i`ve notice that it has droped some items from different creatures that u salvage and some with colour can give unlocks of some sort, stats on some, can u make em into runes or just to material, from what i can`t understand is just salvage but i feel it has some other use aswell but dont know how.. salvage and .... ? have red on item so i know that it`s has another purpose then salvage.

appreciate the help!

1: PvP comes in several forms.
Low levels (under lvl 10) arenas in Ascalon, Kamadan, Shing Jea, Yak's bend.
Normal PvP: travel to the Grand temple of Balthazzar once you get the option to map travel. You need to "unlock" different forms of PvP. Sequence is :Zaishen challenge (PvP tutorial vs. bots), Random arenas, Team arenas, Heroes' ascent.

2: For each title you need to do different things. There are titles for mission completion with all objevtives, a title for opening expensive chests, and dozens more. Go to the wiki and look up "title".

3. Gear practically doesn't matter. I bet I could easily finish the game with starter gear. I'd lose some effectiveness, but 75% of your power comes from your skills.

4. First, if something says "unlocked", it generally means for PvP. Second, items that can be salvaged salvage into two possible thing: materials and upgrade components. Materials are used to craft new items (especially armor), while upgrade components (runes, insignia and weapon modifications like grips) are applied to armor and weapons to improve them.

Item colour notes the rarity of the item. From most common to least: White, blue, purple, gold, green. Blue and up can have magical mods.

Some items cannot be salvaged.

Note that both materials and armor upgrade components can be purchased from NPCs too, so are generally available as long as you have enough money.

Weapons are generally a bit of an exception - hardly anyone crafts them but instead uses randomly dropped ones. Also, there are no weapon mod trader NPCs.

P.S: please make the effort to write in proper english, you're hard to understand.

You list a lot of good questions from a new player, but too many for one person to answer. I'll provide a little advice.

A) Gear does matter, but maximum gear is attainable rather inexpensively. You don't have to buy expensive things from people. max is max, even if it is not rare. Often times rare = more expensive. Be aware that you cannot wear someone else's armor. It will only fit them.

B) In PvE, items must be found from enemies or chests or quest rewards, or purchased from players or npc. To "unlock" items for your pvp characters, you must either trade in Balthazar faction (earned by participating in pvp), or by finding/identifying a particular mod in pve. So, for example, you are playing in pve and you kill a grawl, who drops a blue piece of his armor. You pick it up and use your identification kit on it and discover it is a Minor Rune of Fire Magic. If you have not yet unlocked this item, a box will appear that tells you it is now unlocked. So your pvp elementalist can now use that mod when choosing his armor. If you use your pve character in pvp, he will only have access to the items he has from pve. PvP characters will only have access to what you have unlocked.

C) To play PvP, I recommend visiting the Zaishen. Create a PvP character so that you can see where it is we are talking about. Do whatever the Zaishen require to gain access to Random Arenas. That is a good place to learn about PvP basics. You can also take your pve character there, but there are some things you'll have to do before they let you access the Great Temple of Balthazar.

No. Hero Battles and Team Arenas do not exist anymore and since then there is no need to unlock arenas. (but attending the zaishen tutorial and random arenas first still makes sense)

@Gear: PvP characters have automatically access to max armor and weapons. If you attend PvP with PvE characters, they should at least have lvl20 and 200 attribute points (170 through levelling and 2x15 through quests) and max armor (60, 70 or 80 armor, depending on class. Max armor costs 1Platin+mats per piece).
