Being a secondary assassin won't increase crit chances as are an assassin's primary attribute.
I would recommend secondary warrior as dervishes are good "Save Yourselves" spammers
Warrior gives you access to better IAS's, Save Yourselves, Wild Blow, and Prot Strike. Also if you delve into tactics and grab fear me theres your crit skill.
At a certain point you can freely change your secondary class, so the choice you made at the beginning becomes meanigless. That's why you should choose a class that can be used effectively even with no or only few attribute points invested.
I advise Warrior, with Protector's Strike, Distracting Strike, Distracting Blow and Wild Blow you'll have a handful of cheap attack skills that work with your scythe, don't require any attribute points and give you effects a primary dervish doesn't have (interrupt, stance removal).
Wild Blow and "Save Yourselves!" are both extremely usable by scythe dervishes, since scythes have the highest critical damage in the game, while also gaining more adrenaline when attacking three targets.
You might consider waiting a bit to decide. Dervish is being worked right now, and will have a massive skill update soon. This may affect some of your choices.

he can change it whenever he wants. no point sitting around waiting
My Dervish (who is my main) is /Mo 95% of the time, however, it's been ages since I've actually had a Monk skill on my bar (usually when I do, it's a condition removal skill, or I'm farming). Sometimes I go /W, sometimes /Me for a Mantra, sometimes /A for running, sometimes /E for farming...
At the start it really doesn't matter what you pick, but /Mo or /W are good general choices. Later on you can change to whatever you want, depending on what you want to do.
It's worth pointing out, in case you didn't know (and know one's mentioned it yet) - you cannot start out with a D/A. You can change to that later on, but Assassin is Factions-only and Dervish is Nightfall-only. So if you want to go D/A you have to wait a bit.
