Heroes Questions

I thought about posting this on the Explorers League Board but since it is more of a question than a discussion, it might save someone else from asking (or maybe not).

I looked for a guide to heroes in the Guides and Articles list. Nothing. Henchment are listed but thats all.

My question(s):

• At what level can you recruit Heroes and what do you do to gain them?
  
• Are Heroes and associated quests to attain them based on profession or all inclussive?

I am playing through the Prophesies and am currently level 11(10.9ish) on a couple characters.

Wiki's page on heroes. Click on each hero in the recruitment order section of the article to see the specific requirements to recruit a particular hero.

Heroes are available to players who own the Nightfall campaign or the Eye of the North expansion. There is no restriction based on a character's profession to recruit any hero.
