Seems pretty lively in pre/post searing Ascalon, But what about endgame on ALL campaigns, plus EotN? Is it easy to find a random group, or am I basicaly screwed later on (I understand I can use hirelings, But I'd like to play with people, If not, I'd might as well play Morrowind :V). And by random groups, I mean just spam LFG in chat until I find somebody, I know I can also use a guild. Also, Are there still many semi active guilds to join? Are they also easy to find?

So basicaly, I'd like to know if endgame in all campaigns plus EotN is dead and I will have absolutley no hope in finding a random group there ever ever?

Thank you

In all reality, the closer you get to the end of the game, the easier it will be to find groups. Normal mode end game missions areas (fire Island, realm of Torment) might be challenging, but there seems to be a lot of people interested in HM & elite areas. And for that problem, my advice, advertise Mission & Bonus - there are a lot of people working on finishing their guardian titles, which require missions and bonuses to be completed. (which have to be done together in every campaign except Prophecies)

In the end, the easiest way to find people is to find a good guild, I know that , for example, most of my guild-mates hesitates bringing people into any event (whether its a mission or an elite area) if your not at least part of our alliance, cause we have no way of knowing how good you are. We still might not in the guild, but over time you can prove yourself. In terms of finding a good active guilds, there are a lot of them out there, some more active then others, the real trick is finding one that matches your needed

If nothing, feel free to PM me in game and if we have a spot open I'll invite u into my guild (I am an officer and we rarely ever drop below 97 members with at least 50% if them active every day) (in case you can't guess my name, its Prince Zorkian in game too)

The games far from dead IMO and I've seen plenty of newbies but the fact remains its much easier to find players willing to do endgame content(hardmode etc) than earlier stuff, so for the start you may have to Hero and hench your way through. Once you access hardmode it'll be easier as people are always looking to vanquish areas and go for guardian titles to fill their HoM.
I've mostly H/H'd the game but a guild is clearly the way to go as I've not seen the party search used much for more than spamming trades and no one has ever randomly spammed me to join a group.

The game is in decline, but it's not dead. If your in PvE, most people just hero/hench everything, less grief and you can pick up and go whenever you want. You'll find players looking for groups in the popular areas (Temple of the Ages, Dungeons in EoTN, Domain Of Anguish), but most likely they want experienced players. Your best bet is to find a guild/friends to play with. RA is still lively for PvP if that interests you.

Actually, I'd say GW1 is the most lively it's been since EoTN. I mean sure, it's going to decline as soon as GW2 comes out, but by that time I'm sure you'll gets your moneys worth.

I've played dying games... you can almost hear crickets when you enter the towns. GW isn't dead. Underworld, Domain of Anguish, and Fissure of Woe are all getting lots of action. A little less so for Urgoz and the Deep, though you can still find groups during peaks. For the rest, you must get to know your heroes, or join an active alliance.

The time between now and the release of gw2 should be sort of stable, since many people playing now are doing so in anticipation of the new game.

GW is very much dead compared to its state 3+ years ago. But that is to be expected of any game, being 5+ years old and all.

But, either way, there's still plenty of players left in the game play/do stuff with. So, I wouldn't say "do not play/get GW". I would actually recommend that you did get GW for numerous reasons. 1 of those reasons being that it's still a fun game.

Lots of people would claim the game is dead/dying because it's not as busy as it used to, but keep in mind that it's still a lot busier than most of its competitors. As for finding a guild, just hang around in the capitals (Lion's Arch, Kamadan, Kaineng) for a while. That's where most recruiters spam their "looking for members" messages. Shouldn't take you more than an hour to find a guild you like. I'd recommend to look for a guild with experienced, but casual players. They'll probably help you a lot because they want to share in your excitement of discovering the game

I just came back, it cant be dead. Was playing EvE with friends for awhile untill i got sick of paying for two accounts. Thats whats great about GW's, if you get bored you can take a break, and it costs nothing to log back in. Once you get to the elite area's..youll see where everyone is.

That's because there was almost no update since that time , especially in PvP. Apart of that in pve , most people did finish all titles and stuff , so they 're only in ToA ( for some reason.) , doing zquests , or selling in Kamadan/LA ... It might be hard to find people in other areas , but i guess there should be still 2-3 ppl looking for party aswell ...

i'd say the game is pretty "dead" compared top a few years ago, but its not really dead
you can find enough people in lions arch and kamadan, in kaineng center there are less people
then, if you go to american districts, you'll see most people from europe and america

so the game is NOT dead, and guildwars 2 will be much more active

watch out for kamadan america district, as they are flooding chat because there are most people who trade, like selling and buying

but if you wanna join a nice guild, search for an active one, avoid guilds with mostly pvp players if you wanna play pve, and find a guild with alot of active members, and then those who do pve

its hard to find the guild which fits you best, but you can still find good enough guilds
and new people always get more help than anyone else, to let em feel good

good luck finding the right guild and people, and have as much fun as you like
