Henchmen tonics

As you know , henchmen tonics which appeared after henchman contest last september are unique. Due to the following facts :
- tonics are usable in areas , and look very nice ( they're based on unique look character..)
- they came after an " unfair " contest , since it was said that only original and non meta bars would be taken
- many people who won logged on Guild wars only to do the contest and aren't even playing , thus those tonics are very hard to find ..( i even heard from people that most tonics disappeared due to 3700 accounts banned recently ..)

I am suggesting to add those everlasting tonics in zaishen chest ( or why not in hall chest , we could discuss about it ), dropping at a very low rating ( lower than grenth/rollerbeetle/frostman tonic ) ...

Well, I still have my henchmen tonic (Blenkeh) since I wasn't stupid enough to get banned >_> Just saying :P

I would be all for the recirculation of the tonics that have found their way to banned accounts, but not for the distribution of additional tonics of characters that already exist.

this is anet we're talking about. they say one thing do another. i cant see them adding these tonics to the chests. even thought it would be cool if they added them and the halloween/xmas contest items too.

Super rare drops are always a bad idea.

Allow non-everlasting versions of the henchman tonics to be purchased with zcoins?

Everlasting Cynn tonic would be f-ing awesome.
Also everlasting Guild Lord tonic, Ghostly Hero tonic and Everlasting Gods tonics (Including Kormir and very, very rare Dhuum)

I agree, maybe the gods tonics and Guild Lord tonics be exclusive to Zaishen Chest. I love the war supplies that you get from WiK quests and why not build on that?

Instead of Dungeon chests dropping completely useless Onyx and Diamonds why not have them drop 'insert name' tokens that you can trade for to get certain 'insert name' Gifts?
-Depending on the difficulty of the dungeon depends on how many tokens drop. (Ex. Heart of the Shiverpeaks 5nm 10hm and Duncan 30nm 60hm etc.)
-The gifts can also give Asuran, Norn, Ebon Vanguard and Delver Reputation when you open them (100-1000)
-They have a chance to give other various things (party, alcohol, sweets, summon stones, mini pets)
-Of course the everlasting henchie tonics.
-Lastly these 'insert name' gifts have a slim chance to give an item that can be sold to the Merchant at a set price. The more the item is worth the smaller the chance to get it.

I love to have these as a chance to grab at Locked Chests (Bronze Medal-Silver Trophy), Eye of the North dungeon chests (Bronze Medal-Gold Trophy), UW/FoW chests (Silver Medal-Platinum Medal) Lastly from the Zaishen Chest (Silver Medal-Zaishen Trophy) and HoH chest (Gold Medal-The Heroes Glory)

There is so much that they could add to the game. The Zaishen Coins are pretty much a worthless flop because the items are not hard to get at all. It's more trouble to get the Zaishen Coins than getting the items the traders have to offer. The best thing about them is their just a small bonus for doing extra stuff. No one in the game does locked chests runs just for the items. They do it only for Lucky/unlucky points and merch whatever comes out.

To balance out these items unstable gold increase to the GW economy, nerf shadow form (u c what i did ther?)

i like rare drops.. would acctually make me use zkeys on the zchest. I mena cmon.. how awsome would it to be to have an el dhuum tonic in the game w/ like a .0000000000001% chance of comming from the zchest? id buy it lol.

Adding pvp titles points to a consumable item is tolly brave.
But srsly. There are already zaishen coins for the stuff you're talking about.
Why would they add more.

Personaly I'd just add them to the list of items obtainable through Nicholas the traveler gifts and the zchest as single use items. Then put everlasting ones in the zchest with the current drop rate for everlastings.

I mean what as the point in coding them if their never going to see the light of day again when so many were lost in bans. Not to mention that the remainder are virtually untradeable because they're so rare that no amount of cash is worth trading one away.

Yes, that's the reason i made this thread , actually i had only seen some guy selling Vincent Evan tonic , but it was so high price ( can't remember really , was for sure more than 2500e) that it was pointless.. Never saw any other tonic since that time.

But, if tonics were added, to fix the problem of " lucky drop worth 5000ectos" , we could just make those everlasting tonics untradeable when dropped from the zaishen chest

Well as Missing HB stated earlier those who got tonics got it from an unfair contest where ONLY META builds were chosen despite the Anet statements they won't give reward to any meta build.
So I think it's fair that other people have a chance of getting the tonic. Maybe zaishen chest isn't a good idea but Anet could think of something better if they would care.

IMO the HoH chest, maybe Z-Chest, and maybe a handful of other chests should have the ability to drop anything, and i mean ANYTHING. Like how old school chests could drop crystal swords(and some still can drop the grape versions). Either way it's a long shot and either way you got ****ing lucky.

Idk bout anyone else, but I cant stand having to see them in my gh much less everywhere else. I seem to have an issue with f'd contest reminders. If it were regular henchies, I wouldn't mind, but not the ones that plague our ghs.

I wouldn't mind on some bars , but seriously , since we're not able to micro these henchs , how can we trust in a hench with frenzy , a hench with make haste ( even as i stated on other thread, monks not healing ghostly hero.. ) ..

Anyway , that's not the point of this thread , but since there would be a lot of tonics , making some rotation like they did with other ones ( i.e may = asura /june = abyssal .. etc.. ) could be fun ..

No in-game item should be definitely limited.
Otherwise, with bans, duping an wahatnot, it all ends up in a mess.

So, all items should have sources of acquisition that never run out, even if hose sources are REALLY rare.
And I mean, so rare that a single player gets the stuff every year.


But no item should have a limited stock.

Are you serious??? First of all if there is any chance at all to get it people would try and if you put it in zchest ppl would actually use zkeys instead of selling them (except those few who're maxing title).
So seriously what was the point of those tonics if half of them are gone because bans? Those people who care should have a chance to get some because they want some.

Got to agree with that , since everyone knows only grenth/frostman tonic are worth a lot in zchest , most people just do zaishen service ( they get pts for title but let items on the floor ), or just sell keys . Almost noone opens chest , because you have big chance to get tons of flasks/normaltome/creme , and because there aren't enough good items to drop. I am even amazed zkey price is around 5k ( due to extreme poor drops , RR ( appearing i ncodex ) , easy quest farming ( Ra/HA)...

So yes , if there were much more good items there , people would try their luck on it ..
