I set up 3 monitors in Eyefinity and the game isn't quite acting as I expected. Specs below:
Intel i5 750
4xGb
Radeon 5870
MSI P55 Motherboard
5760x1200 resolution
I was expecting the field of vision to expand to the side screens. However, it appears as if the perspective is pegged. So instead of the field being added to the sides, the horizontal field remains the same and the vertical field is reduced. This makes the game pretty hideous. Zooming out 100% in 5760 is like 25% in 1920, so the smallest I can make my char is 1/2 the vertical field space. The game still registers as being fully zoomed out, so all the low-res textures are being used and are very noticeable. Also, vsync does not appear to be enabled on the side screens (very bad tearing), although the center screen is synced.
Other games I've played do not have these issues. Has anyone else gotten the game to work with Eyefinity?

I know that GW has been documented to work properly with Eyefinity, but I've not tried it myself. What drivers are you using?

Using the latest catalyst. Installed them yesterday.

Maybe try the AMD forums. But yeah, I've heard of people using Eyefinity successfully with GW as well.

The below thread kind of confirms what I found. Increasing the aspect ratio causes the game to zoom in. The game does not add horizontal space, it simply removes vertical, and my issues are being caused by increasing the aspect ratio as much as I am.

I consider Eyefinity to work in GW. Given the reaction of the game to increased aspect ratio, I suppose Eyefinity is running as successfully as it can, although aspects of it are neither intended nor wanted. I'd be very curious if anyone running eyefinity at my resolution does not have these issues.

Quote:
Vert -, or vertical minus, refers to a behavior specific to certain games that support both 4:3 resolutions and widescreen resolutions. A vert - game is a game that when played on a widescreen monitor with a widescreen resolution, decreases the vertical component of the FOV. The aspect ratio is generally correct, there is little or no stretching or distortion. This is often unappealing to widescreen users, as it reduces the are of the picture available to them. |

So now we know - thanks for the research, Hollerith
