Account blocked for account issues. code 045

Just as an FYI, my bros-in-law's ncsoft master account was recently blocked for account issues (see title, this is the error message received when attempting to log into guild wars). Turns out, someone hacked his Aion beta account and attempted to upgrade to full version using a fake credit card and it was actually Aion security who blocked the account. Now my account has the same issue. My bro-in-law's account has been unblocked and I am currently supplying all the information and working to get mine back. But, I just wanted to let everyone know that, if you played the beta for Aion, and haven't been back since and don't plan to, you should try to do something with that account. It's just going to cause you troubles in the future. I don't know if they can remove it from the master account or what, but something needs to happen.

My NCSoft Master acc was hacked too. Google NCSoft Master Account Hack. Some of the security measures that they *didn't* have in place are shocking.

Also if you registered on Aion Source website expect to get hack attempts/phishing scams cos they got hacked earlier this year/end of last year and thousands of forum members email addresses are being spammed. I regularly get 10+ a day.

Most users are aware of the NCSoft security shortcomings, etc.

We are unable to do anything for Core 045s, and thus, these type of threads generally attract +1 posts and start potential flame wars, etc.

The notice is appreciated, but I'm gonna close this up to prevent the above from ever having a chance.

Your post will still be visible, and thus, mission accomplished for you. Cheers for the warning, but remember, we have a lot of users, and posting about every account disable/ban can be repetitive.
