Hi all,
I just purchased Guild Wars Prophecies (GotY edition) and Nightfall over the weekend. I like to PvE to start with. Will dabble into pvp when i know more about the game. I have tried out almost all classes until atleast lvl 8ish
I have been reading thread after thread on builds, PvX Wiki, suggestions, "the best pve class" etc etc... And i'm totally lost. I know that there is no "best" class and it all depends on your style. But most threads and builds iv found are from 2006-2008 so im assuming these are abit out dated.
I'm wondering if anyone can Shed alittle light on a class and build i can use to start with to finish my first playthrough.
keep in mind i have the GotY edition which comes with /bonus weapons

i advise you to explore the wiki's a bit for better undersanding of the game

i perfer playing warrior but elementalist, necro and monk are also popular
the derevishes are a bit sucky but they have promised update comming
paragons and rangers also suck
mesmers are a briliant class but a bit dificult to play well imo
assasins and ritulists now are in the spotlight but you need to get factions to play them
have fun :3

This thread is fairly pointless. You said it yourself: what you play is dependant on your style. How do we know what you enjoy? Play a few professions and see which ones you like. Us posting our favourite professions isn't helpful at all.
PS: Don't worry about how people say profession x is crap. They might be less useful then some of the other professions but they're by no means useless. All professions have decent builds and can complete all PvE content with a bit of effort.
