HM Rune Farming

Until recently when I finally managed to beat the Proph campaign and unlock HM, I farmed my runes from the ettins outside of Bergen/Beetletun. Was wondering if they were still a good or better source of runes in HM, or if there was a better area to farm in HM. Also looking for any War builds used for farming runes. Thanks in advance for any tips

The only worthwhile rune to farm for would be Sup Vigor... The ettin farm was my secret place to farm Sup Absorption and Sup Vigor back when they were 100k and 60k respectively. But that was over 5 years ago!

But in the spirit of helping, there is a better farm in HM but it required a 600 monk and i believe it's been nerfed now. It was basically farming the Tundra Giants in the Shiverpeaks. they actually drop more gold armours than ettins. plus you get the chance of better golds from all the mobs there.

I truly wouldnt bother with ettins anymore. Depending on what profession you are and what campaigns you have access to youll make more money by farming something else and bying the runes, unless u get a sup vig like one per hour.

Thanks for the tips. Been away awhile lol. Still havent picked up EotN, so unfortunately not able to get to better money making farm areas. Will give the giants a shot, just lookin for someway to save a little extra money till I get my 15k armor. Thanks again

I still do Ettins for runes, but their runes are so random I just decided to farm more profitable farms for money in order to use the money to buy it from the trader.

All in all, Ettins just aren't worth it anymore.

Well, OP, if you have the other campaigns and have completed them, look into DoA. prices are dropping, but Frostway HM (whenever a group does eventually form) is a nice way of making a couple of armbraces which can be sold on to players. The run itself takes between 1hr 30mins - 2hrs but it's double drops from chests compared to a NM run which will take the same amount of time, if not longer.

Take your time to browse through all the PvX Wiki farm builds. I for one didn't realise the vaettir farm was still viable until last night. Or you can look into the thread somewhere here in the farming section giving you farming areas sorted by profession (could be a sticky now).

And if you're looking to make some money and don't have that much time, farm the materials for the Traveller's Gifts and sell them on, or take part in the Zaishen quests/missions and even the PvP quest (which can be constantly re-added after you receive the rewards) wich will get you Zkeys that you can sell on.

Sorry if i'm off-topic now, but the question had changed slightly once you mentioned you're saving up for 15k armour
