Greetings,

It appears to us that you have a PlayNC account, and we're opening the Guild Wars 2 beta on the 20th of september 2010.
If you would like to have a chance to win a beta key (there's 5000 of them), head over to Link removed but made reference to Aion/ and log in, on the right panel you will see "Opt In For Beta", click it, and apply for the Guild Wars 2 beta!

Regards,

- NCsoft Support

- NCsoft Team

Just incase anyone falls for this I thought I would post it here.

i doubt it. i think the people that post these and the "is the game dead threads" are 6 of 1 half dozen of another. if search was used i doubt we'd ever see(or at least decent inbetween time) of those 2 kinds of threads.

@Tobi - I am not worried about it at all, I receive them on a daily basis for Aion and WoW which I don't play.

@Cullen - Let's be honest here and I suppose Tobi answered this with his later email, I use the search feature as it is handy to have for looking for items on sale or what not but how many other people use the search feature and including those who have just joined GW Guru.

This message is for those you may not have performed a search nor wouldn't recognise it is a fake with the fact i mentions GW2 then Aion and a beta date which is far too early.

I suppose this bit was missed out in my earlier post

If this needs closed, can one of the mods do so, as no one appreciates a little warning.

This sort of thing isn't exclusive to GW. It's like the spam e-mails you get warning you about phishing e-mails: unnecessary. Anyone who really needs this warning is quite likely all ready phished.

It's not that people don't appreciate a warning about it, but if we had threads for each occurrence of someone receiving a phishing email, we'd have endless threads about them..

I think a lot of users are well aware of these scams, and the easiest ways to spot them is to look at where your browser takes you if you click links, and to look for broken or incorrect English, as NCSoft just doesn't do that.

Anywho...
