Signet of Capture

Can someone please tell me where I get one of these? I understand they are necessary to capture elite skills correct? Also, is there crafting in this game? I mean can I pick up a crafting profession? Last, I hear people talk about Pre-searing. What is it exactly and what level do you usually leave it. I am currently level 11 A/E and not sure what people mean by pre-searing. Any help is always appreciated.

skill trainers have them, if you are in prophecies I believe you can get them after Lions Arch, in factions I know you can get them in kaineng and in nightfall: youlon haven I believe is the first place for them....after those locations any skill trainer will have them (in the lower level areas I dont think the skill trainers have them-----)

A) Signets of capture:
You buy signets of capture from skill trainers. You then equip them like any skill, and when you kill a boss, you can activate the signet and learn one of the boss's skills.
Not all skill trainers have them You can't get them early in the game, and the corresponding trainers won't sell them.
Also, each campaign will offer you a quest in which you get a signet of capture to capture an elite skill with. Generally, skill trainers afterward will sell them.
Also note that guild hall skill trainers sell signets of capture
B) Pre-searing is a part of the Prophecies campaign which serves as a tutorial. If you started in Prophecies and see green grass around you, you're there.
It has a few quests, few skills, nice terrain and is a fun place to be.
As you follow the storyline, however, you will leave this area AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RETURN, EVER. So, get everything there done before you leave.
C) Crafting:
Yes and no. You can't craft items yourself, however, you can acquire materials and visit an NPC that will craft certain items.
Most notably, all armor is crafted by armor crafter NPCs (ok, and a few collector NPCs, but those just take collectible items instead of materials)

Guildhall skill trainers also sell signet of capture.
And pre-searing means the beginning of guild wars prophecies. You can't get there if your an assassin so don't worry.

Here's the scoop on Signets fo Capture: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Signet_of_Capture
There is no crafting profession in GW. Instead, materials for armor (iron, cloth, steel, leather, etc.) are obtained by using a salvage kit on drops or simply dropped from enemies. (That's the short answer)
Pre-Searing is the beginning area of the Prophecies campaign. You won't experience it as an assassin. People usually leave that area somewhere around level 7 by joining the Asacalon Acadamy.

Great, thank you for all the responses everyone. Much appreciated.

As the Signet of Capture page that Kook~NBK~ linked explains, for a Factions character you need to get to Kaineng Center and do the Minister's Test. This will give you two Signets; one to do the quest and the other as a reward. After completing the quest, you will be able to purchase them from any skills trainer.
