Can someone explain gold weapon pricing please

Tbh Ive never really understood the pricing of weapons asides from the rare skins such as bds, celestials and old perfect r8s and mods with no requirement.

Im at a loss as to why weapons with high requirements and common skins such as

with a bo of 50e

and

#3 Emblazoned defender (q12tac +30 -2ench)
S/B=20e

can someone point me to somewhere that explains this or give me a summary on what to look for as it seems that i may have merchanted a ton of golds that i might have made some good ectos from

They're uninscribable with perfect inherent mods, which is especially rare for 20/20 staves and -2/+30 shields. They're also rather sought-after skins.

I use the inscription thread already as reference to individual inscriptions but it does not help inregards to the weapon as a whole.

I do not want to put up a thread in the pc forum for every gold i id, i was asking what to look out for which seperates valuables from merchant fodder, as i dont understand why certain weapons are selling for alot on the forums

As, jray14 said, those two weapons you asked about are "oldschool" non-inscribable weapons with max inherent mods. They are rare, and collectors will pay a lot for them - although I suspect that more people are farming them these days, so the prices of them may vary (downwards).
Beyond that, there are the usual rare/desired skins (bds, vs, etc.) that are valuable and there's some action around new WiK skins. Beyond that, the prices for most golds are way down because supply has outstripped demand.

One thing you can do is check the buy/sell forums or Guru Auctions to get an idea of what things may still have some value.

I agree with checking auction sites for prices as well as watching Kama and LA for wtb and wts. You can get an idea of what people have and want.

Value will depend on whether or not the player base wants something and/or how rare it is. If an item has max stats, lower req will be worth more than higher. If an item is uninscribable, one with "perfect" mods will be worth more. It all depends on how hard it is to get that item and if the skin is desirable. Certain skins only drop in certain places and may be "harder" to get to drop. Other skins may be "shiney" and make them desirable.

Hope this helps but it takes time to figure out what's worth trying to sell and what should go to the merchant.

so, Many collectors as me, prefer non inscriable>insc, due that emblazoned is prices way higher then inscriable version.

And for Outcast, Common Skin? Sure u might get many drops from jade sea but getting inherent of 20% to same attri is rare.

Still i think both of those're overprice.
