I get migraines and sometimes go into a instantly-tired trance mode when there are too many animations on the screen, or even just the "wrong" animation will trigger me. When that happens I have to quit GW, and it happens REALLY often.
(Please don't tell me to take medicine)
So if someone could change skill and attack effects to transparent, including the "auras" around you from enchantments and such, I'd would make me really happy!
I looked on the Wiki to see if someone had already created this mod; doesn't seem like it. I use the "No red flash" (when attacking) and that alone helps ALOT. So even if you don't get all the effects, it's okay, just try to get lots, keeping in the skills most used nowadays.
I'm more than willing to pay for this service.
Texmod Request: Make Effects Transparent (doesn't have to be perfect)

I don't believe this is the right place for this.

Yes, I realized that after I posted, and I went to Edit->Advanced, but didn't see an option to delete the post. So what's done is done.

The only problem with this is the sheer amount of animations to change. The conversion to full transparency is no problem, but having to apply that to several hundred skills would be a time consuming task.

Doing them one by one would be a nightmare, It's things like this where GW needs a particle effect slider with the rest of the graphical options.

But if someone made something like this for free I don't imagine the staff would jump too much about it.
I'd enjoy something like this too. Some of the effects are fine, but some of them are really annoying. There's a few sound effects that tend to give me a headache after long playing sessions too. I've fixed that by turning off the animation sounds, but that's not really ideal...

Even if there are still a couple of animations showing at once, atleast there won't as many overlapping each other on the screen, triggering a lot less migraines.
And yeah, a particle slider would be awesome... maybe GW2.

So I try to whack stuff with my eyes closed, or looking down at my lap, or to the wall to my right. Not good. x-D!!
The sounds bother me too. I put off playing EotN for a long time, because the orchestra music made me reaaaalllllyyy tired and cranky.
Then I found out I could turn off the music... Wheee!
Nowadays I only turn on the music when I'm in Shiverpeaks towns, because the songs there are really pretty :-)
Try turning off the music instead of turning off the sound effects. Turn off background noise too. Put effect sounds at 1/3. That worked for me
