Basically, I've just returned to Guild Wars after a really long time away. My /age shows about 331 hours, 104 of which are in a single character... but to give you an idea of how long it has been- I quit a couple weeks after Factions came out. =D I've purchased the other expansions (found em on sale) and returned to the game, but everything that was once exceptionally familiar and I knew back and forth looks completely foreign to me! I have tons of stuff that I remember being good but not so sure on now, almost no gold/plat and a ton of mini pets (yay birthdays lol).
So my questions:
A) I want to refresh myself on everything. I have basically knowledge of whats what- I remember the storyline for the original game very well and a little bit about the story for Factions. But I'm super out of date on equipment, what skills are what, etc. Does anyone have a suggestion for a great place to get caught up on the details?
B) Where do folks farm these days? I used to make my money doing W/Mo runs (which were the big thing back then) to rush new chars in old story. But it seems there would be better ways to do it- Assuming I've only beaten the story for the first xpac, where would you suggest going to raise up a couple of plat?
C) Are Warrior/Mo still as amazing as they were in say... 2006? =D
Returning character suggestions...

Tanks suck in Guild Wars, they always been sucking since enemy (an ally) AI got a much needed upgrade. For warriors builds in PvE, Hundred Blades for sword, Earthshaker for Hammer are good damage dealers. Also Scythe does deal huge damage for warrior.
Nuking sucks in Guild Wars as foes won't stand in AoE and run around. That and damage is so much less thanks to high enemy armor.

Go here for Hard Mode

While playing Guild Wars and have any questions about anything simply type:
/wiki [insert something] it's the same concept of /dance
For example, need to find the elite skill Word of Healing type /wiki word of healing
Have a mysterious item, example: type /wiki sharktooths shield
Trouble with a quest, example: type /wiki against the charr

That Wiki thing is great =D

If you fancy playing warrior, I'd suggest looking up the Hundred Blades meta build on pvxwiki. Obtain the skills you need, grind out the faction, etc for the pve skills therein, and get with some Physway teams in Temple of the Ages.
Angel Killuminati
If your mini pets are good from the years that have passed, you might not even need to farm to get some good wealth going. You might have miniatures worth a hell of a lot of money - selling them will get you a nice bank balance.

Easiest farm is feather-farming on the Jaya Bluffs outside Seitung Harbor in Factions. That's on the beginner island. Feathers sell for 9-10k per stack.
Assassin Of Sound
i would say either a sin, or necro. Sins are fun and used in almost every speed clear out there. Necros are a little funner imo but arent used in as many speed clears. i love my assassin and necro though
