Ban direct healing in codex arena, same setup/victory conditions as hero arena

Going along with the theory behind gw2, why don't we remove the direct healing aspect of this arena and use the set up of hero arena to develop a faster and less defense oriented meta game. As with fps games, games with respawn and kill count win condition are more fun to play than those without imo.
With 4 people playing on each team, it'll be harder for red resign abuse and hey if the developers think this kind of play style is good for gw2, then why don't they test it out by introducing it in gw1 and see how well this new system works.

I don't know what you're suggesting here. "the set up of hero arena" is obviously referring to Hero Battles, but I'm not sure what exactly you mean by that.

hero battles without heroes, cap points+kill count, only self heals and whatever, no target healing. Maybe some codex only skill that emulates the rally thing in gw2

I like the idea of a cap/kill count maps in codex, HOWEVER guild wars isnt set up for individual self healing to be enough. If you did that then everyone would pretty much run the 4 most damaging classes available in that codex of skills and hope that they killed the other team first. Good luck getting proper streaks.

If this idea applied to RA as well, that'd be awesome! Ban monks from both RA and Codex FTW! We'd no longer have to rage, and we'd all have to take on a new approach to PvP when it comes to 4v4 arenas.

Not signed. Healing is an important part of Guild Wars PvP and we'd just all spam high damage classes without it. Also, not all classes possess effective self-heal.

No direct healing... As long as prots, heal breeze and Vig sprit are around, monks will have a use.

while we're here, I'm totally in for dismissing rupts. No more healing, what's the use of em? Ban rangers and mesmers from pvp forms then. Damage? What for? It'll only annihilate somebody's survivor title, why be mean like that? Support? That's not fair, what if one team has a support profession and the other does not? Dismiss support just as well.

it would just be cool to see 1 slotted heal per character from a list, and the rest can't be heals. would be a cool format and then maybe all the scythe sins and dagger dervs would head over there from RA...a boy can dream, right?
