So what are you going to do with your treasures?
Painbringer
So we are year’s month’s days away from the release of GW2. What are you power trader’s, collectors, and ecto hoarders going to do with your fortunes? When GW2 starts we all start from scratch.
A. Nothing… let the servers shut off, and then let my fortune of ectos and other items drift away forever into the digital universe.
B. Days before the end randomly give away everything to whoever lets you trade with them.
C. Find a nice secluded location in PVE and drop your R7, R8, and Uber items... mini’s what have you on the ground before you and disconnect.
D. Have your own game show offering rewards like Monty Hall (Lets Make a Deal) Who can show me a Yakslapper the first one that opens trade with one gets 250 ecto.
E. Something Different (please explain)

Sell everything and buy whatever I can that's useful - runs, items for HoM, etc. But will probably do this some time before GW2 goes live.
End
A mix of a few things. Of course this is assume I do decide to buy GW2 which I am still on the border of whether I will or not.
1) Find out which of my friends does not intend to play GW2 and give some to them.
2) Do some Giveaways on here/in game for stuff my friends don't want.
3) Leave my Red iris flower collection as well as all my daggers at The Graveyard in Nolani.
Again though. I'm not filthy rich. I just have some stuff of value.

Im in the process of selling/farming and buying the few things i need for the money side of HoM. Then i need to get 6 more titles for Im Very Important, i will then be satisfied and will of had my fill of Guild Wars until Guild Wars 2 is released.
I will ofc login all the time because its a fantastic game, just not spend hours on end doing fail UW runs anymore.

E. Give it all away to guildies and friends list....will take a while so probably do it in batches.....ie.....war tac sheilds all to one person....war str sheilds... all to one person.....spears...."" etc etc...
Xsiriss
It's all about HoM. GW1 is a bit of a mess and I can't see anything they can do to increase my playtime. I'm not complaining,I've had years of good times from it but whatever 'updates' they have in midn just won't bring me back. Well for more than a couple of days.
Fusylum
After playing this game for nearly 10,000 hours I don't have Gwam nor I'm Very Important(3)
I get on and help people out or farm for holidays then just fiddle around farming and ultimately wasting my time away.
Honestly unless you have an assassin your pointless nowadays it seems...
Edit: I want to plan a day or week where everyone who uses an assassin and comes B/P in tombs with an orders and MM.
I want to see the day where they remove shadow form...

I'm not uber rich, but somewhat wealthy compared to the average GWer.
I'll simply give it away to friends.
Make small events for guildies (ie. Prizes of 50e etc...)
Cheers!

I'm putting everything of my fortune into what can be turned into a HoM reward, aside from the dedicated miniature Greased from the first CNY that I won, and moving on. Unless ANet's release of GW2 means that the Live Team is going to be back to putting out skill updates and bug fixes like the old glory days, I don't plan on returning to GW after GW2 is released.
domaspiragas
I think I'll eventually just join groups doing zmissions or some sort of run, go out in the middle of nowhere hearing all the "noob" and "omg" then just drop 50-250 ectos at a time and log out. Hah, the greedy people will go insane to get it.
Marty Silverblade
I'm probably going to spend a fair chunk of it maxing titles to get GWAMM on my War, then spend a bit more on putting more stuff in the HoM depending on how exactly it works. I'll probably still have a large chunk of what I started off with left though.
Skyy High
Nothing. It's B2P. I have no incentive to destroy my account, particularly since they're leaving open the possibility of throwing an update GW1's way every now and then. It's still a good game.
Hobbs
I'll just leave it all there collecting dust, i'm at 26 Max Titles and even if I liquidated everything in my account I probably wouldn't have enough money to max another (most of my rares are custo'd) so it's not worth getting rid of it.
Karate Jesus
I have nothing of value, so I'll probably sell my account or something (after I get the GW2 rewards of course).
I can probably get some solid ectos, put them on a sub account, and use them to buy some GW2 swag from some guy. Cross-game trading will probably be rampant in the last days.

X Ghoul
After HoM reward info is released soon everyone is going to start spending their money buying minipets, armor for heroes, titles, torm/destroyer weps <if you get all that and are an addict to gw, make another acc, do it over, and sell it on ebay for $400
Polgara Val
Depending on what the rewards will be for HoM, I can see prices in armor, minis, mats etc increasing a great deal due to the demand of it. Im actually going for HoM rewards myself so im curious to see how things pan out.

get 7 other perma sins into a zone in HM
run around the zone and drop ectos in hidden places. watch them scramble and yell at each other

Let them rot with time when I finally lose all possible past, current and future interest in GW1.

E. I'll still be playing GW1. So nothing.

I'll wear my ugly mask (carryovers)with pride (based on what we get at Halloween/events), seriously though, not going to spend as much time on gw2 as i did on gw, although so far it looks amazing!

I don't believe they can tell soon what rewards you get in gw2 from HoM for simple reason .
For example , if they said that every miniature would be worth the same , then rarest pets price would drop to almost nothing . The same can be applied for armors in fact ( people not having fow armor won't bother getting it i guess then ) and for titles also.
They probably expect such a thing to happen ( whatever rewards are ) , thus they will give us informations about it close to GW2 release imo...

E. Nothing. I ain't leaving GW1 anytime soon.
GW2 looks like a WoW clone.
Plus even after four years of play, there's sooo much I still haven't done in GW...like, finish Prophecies or Nightfall or EOTN, for example.
I'm almost to the point of getting all the armors I want for my characters, but given that two or three of the sets I want are Primeval......yeah, I'm gonna be around for a long while yet.
Plus I can't wait to see if/how 7 hero teams are implemented.

I will probably do the same as i did when I finished with D2 and had oodles of stuff. Just give it away to random new people who will get some use out of some cash/ectos/weapons etc.
At least this time since armours are customised I wont later regret giving away anything

Not much left to add to the hall for me other than a few of the long titles (treasure, lucky, etc.) and maybe some minis. I'll wait for more hall info before buying any of those though. That info will determine if I was an idiot for buying torms and 20 sets of armor as well.
If at the end I have a fortune left, I will pass it along to some newer players the same way it was passed to me several years ago when I started. Once the hall is mostly filled (I will never have the high end minis) and GW2 is out, I don't see much reason to return.

Sell everything and fill my HoM. That's also why I'm only using tormented weapons and prob destroyer ones too soon :3 No use in keeping the minis/weapons/w/e tbh...

all i have in my possession atm gonna die with me in gw1
still dreaming about bring some shit in gw2 but ...in my dream

Ebay once i've got everything out of the HoM i can in GW2
Jugalo Dano
I still need a few destroyer weapons to top off my warriors hall, and then whatever else for the other characters, not really worried about them. I have no intention of getting rid of any gear I use, as I still might log in and do stuff from time to time.
Darcy
As some friends won't be buying GW2 at release, I'll be hanging around in GW helping them. So my gold and items will probably stay at the same level. Guild Wars is a fun game for me and I see no reason to stop playing it just because I will have a new toy.
Axeman002
i still got plenty to buy which will use up most if not all my cash...i got Gwamm, got full hero armors, tons of pets.. next is getting every elite armor for my sin and then see what the score is with torm/destroyer sets whether to buy 5/5 or just 10 tormy.
still plenty for me to do in this game yet!
and the ones saying they aint gonna buy GW2....i bet the day its released you will be first in the queue.....

nothing at all. something cool may happen in gw1 so i may come back to it. who knows.

I despise farming (in the Guild Wars sense it was the most tedious and boring activity in a game beyond level grinding) and thus never ammassed a fortune to horde. I still scrape by on my savings to buy the money titles like drunkard, all destroyer weapons and sweet tooth/party animal (I'm probably going to skip these because they basically require farming or grinding).
If I had some considerable Guild Wars 1 fortune by the release of Guild Wars 2 (doubtful seeing as I won't have enough for my own titles to transfer over anyway) I would probably distribute it guild members and friends in Guild Wars 2 if they decided to purchase GW1 to gain some HoM status. I can see a lot of people wanting to acquire HoM rewards in GW1 after the release of GW2.
