Actually there is a control you can set that let's you cycle through your party you can open the options menu and go to controls and set buttons to go up and down your party list. Well at lest I think that's what you mean.

AFAIK there isnt one. Although it would be nice if you could set numbers for your foes, like with the party list only in reverse. Maybe Cntrl+Numpad 1 for enemy number 1, that would be good.
Not sure what you read, but I got that they want to target party members for possibly some of the mesmers anti-hex and/or enchantment spells, which can easily be done by clickon the party window.

Why would anyone mention tabbing through enemies and wanting to only target players if they were referring to their own party seeing as how Tab cycles through foes?

Even if you didn't realize whether he was talking about PvE or PvP from the start, you should be able to figure it out. I'm guessing he's talking about PvP seeing as how tabbing does not target allies. By asuming he was stupid you've really shown your own lack of comprehension.
To answer the op's question, as far as I know there is not a method of doing what you are seeking (cycling through enemy players only). Maybe someone else knows of a method.
Also, what's the purpose of giving us your prediction about whether the thread will be closed or not? There are no brownie points/awards/achievements for being successful in that endeavor.
Not only are you not nice, but you don't even appear very smart in this thread. Please leave.
I hope this answer actually helps the OP as opposed to insulting him/her.
EDIT: I'm also sorry for not sounding nice. The poster which I replied may not have meant anything ill towards the OP, but the response was very condescending nonetheless - even if it was out of habit/unconsciously.
Have a nice day everyone :-) Halloween comes soon..woot...
If you disagree with my assessments outside of the answer to the OP, feel free to send it privately as further discussion of how someone responds shouldn't clutter up this thread... -end of line-

This is exactly why you should NOT just bold/pay attention to snippets. You've obviously lost the context of what he's asking for, which others above seem to have seen.

Why wouldn't you want to target minions? Are you talking PvE or PvP?
Generally you just tab until you find the foe you want; or hold Ctrl and find the foe you need. |
When there are, say, two spirits and a pet with the enemy team, it makes tabbing to target less efficient.

Simply clarifying that this was referring to PvP would have eleviated any confusion......remember mesmers do have skills that target allies...hence my confusion...for that I apologize to the OP..but, I do not apologize to the others as there is/was reason for the confusion.
