let them drop.

I don't know what the value of pre order weapons/items are (ingame). or if they are even sellable.
But.. as we all now people by now wont pre-order the game anymore. And many who had those items probably arn't playing anymore.
It might be sugested before, but I couldn't find it but to me it would be nice if al these itmes where used as random rare drops through all the worlds.

I know they are...where !!!!! special items. But at this moment they would be of better use when they could be optained by more people ingame. I'll think it would create some,,,,wow..what do they drop here efects. which in this state
could be only possitive.

They'd be interesting until they get overfarmed and then tossed out because most of them have mediocre stats. Keep them as promo items. It's not like you can't go out and buy the pre-order if you really want those items.

The only thing you could be talking about are the prophecies pre-order items, because pretty much anything after that are "standard" weapons with unique skins, and there are better options for things that already drop in game. (My own personal opinion)

which is why you dont see any of those pre-order items in use much.

The Prophecies Pre-order items are even stranger because they are largely useless, the only thing that makes those cool, is the fact that even though the skin is weird they are so unique.

They are not tradeable you cant even put them in a trade window to show stats, but if they had the same stats they would never see play.

HOWEVER if you are asking to let the "skin" of the item drop, that would be pretty cool IMO because some of those skins are cool/funky and it would be nice to get max and customizable stats on them.

I really wish they would let people put their Pre-order and CE edition perks in the HoM I think that would be nice to carry to GW2.

But seriously the stats on some of these weapons are insanely bad.

Uhmm, so I play over 5 years, and than buy a pre order just for the items
which I cant use on my main chars...

Wel the Japanese items, Coke items and the Game of the year items Are also
things that can be used as rare drops.. They are very nice


And yes, it is more about the skins.

To be honest, id rather see a Weapon Pack that i could buy that has those rare promo items (Glacial Blade <3 )

Pros:
1. More $ for Anet. Cant argue there.
2. Less people crying about them.
3. We get to look cool with those unique skins

Cons:
1. No longer "Impossibly Rare" items. But at this point, who cares?

NOTE: I am not saying the items should drop as loot.

oh wow that chimeric prism gives +5 energy and 16 armor?! dang son. 10 armor for a ranger too?! that item is crazy.

I would love to see this......I find it discouraging that some items are area specific, So that if you live somewhere you can possible nvr obtain certain items...Kind of messed up, if you think about it.

Actually, I posted a thread a little while ago (http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/b...tml?t=10449968) which proposed the same thing in detail (I remember you actually responded in it).
Anyway, I encourage everyone to read the OP on that thread, because I proposed a method of achieving what Mia here is suggesting that I think could actually work and be beneficial to the GW community as a whole.

That being said, I heartily support this idea. Whoever doesn't want to buy it (saying it's "pointless" and a "waste of money") has zero obligation to, and it would require zero effort on the Anet team's part since the weapons and the method of obtaining them are already set up ingame. It would give more income to Anet to work on GW2 and other content updates. I see it as a win-win deal.

I think they should add them as a pack you could buy.

I love how ArenaNet likes to have everyone on a fair level (like changing that one item that gave an extra 10% enchantment duration) but they still restrict items like the Chimeric prism to current Russian nightfall copies and not other countries too. I don't know if you can even buy a Russian code and add it to your account that already has nightfall to get the prism.

I think you're a tad bit too late wanting to obtain and show off some exclusive pre-order items in a dead game where too few players will ever go out and play missions with you in order to observe them, all so that they can say "nice" and quickly get over them.

I don't obtain expensive or "good looking" items for anyones opinion than my own. I use what I think looks good. I like the Hourglass Staff and wish it was accessable other than buying a pre order code. Please don't assume we are all striving for attention.

you can get the eye of the north pre order pack on that bidding place (wont say name it might be agains the rules but it starts with E) for like £6 delivered and its there now just looked search

Drawing attention unto themselves is what people like doing, and some of them publicly deny it. Truthfully, it's neither right or wrong to want other player's attention. If somebody wants something rare to show off, then I say they should go for it. Who cares about other people's opinions to begin with anyway?

Rare items should be rare. It's nice to have rare things and goals.

But with that said I'd wouldn't mind seeing weapon skins in the store (assuming they are layered/textured well and tested not to clip).
