BUGS.

Hello i am The undead mesmer, and this article is about the bugs of Tyria.
There are manny types of bugs in the big worls of Guildwars here is a list.

Devourers.
Dryders.
Spiders.
Scarabs.
Worms.
Wurms.
Riders. (not sure if they are bugs)
Behemoths.

Here is a discription of all the bugs i wont go into details too much.

--+--Devourers--+--

Devourers look like giant two-tailed scorpions,
that are slightly larger than a human.

Devourers are undetectable (i.e. they do not show up on a character's minimap)
and immobile while underground,
and will only burrow their way to the surface when their victim comes within close proximity. Devourers typically burrow out of the ground in packs,
with each pack consisting of a mix of melee and ranged attackers.
Devourers cannot burrow back into the ground once they have surfaced.

Most of the Devourers are Warriors, Rangers, Necromancers.
You have...

Presearing Ascalon:
Carrion Devourer
Diseased Devourer
Lash Devourer
Snapping Devourer

Old Ascalon:
Carrion Devourer
Crimson Devourer
Plague Devourer
Whiptail Devourer

Maguuma Jungle:
Fevered Devourer
Thorn Devourer
Thorn Devourer Drone

Crystal desert:
Rockshot Devourer

All devourers drop carapaces.
--------------------------------------------------------------

--+--Dryders--+--

Dryders in Guild Wars are intelligent spiders.
While spiders in Guild Wars are mostly rangers,Dryders can be found in all spell-casting professions. They seem to be magically modified spiders, but this is not confirmed. Dryders can be seen walking on their hind six legs and actually holding weapons and focus items in their two front limbs which function like hands.

Types of dryders.

Northern Shiverpeaks:
Frostfire Dryders

Ring of Fire island chain:
Dark flame Dryder

Underworld:
Terrorweb Dryders
(Special dryder: Keeper of Souls)

Fissure of Woe:
Doubters Dryder.
---------------------------------------------------------------

--+--Spiders--+--

Spiders in Guild Wars are the traditional Giant Spiders found in most Dungeons and Dragons games.
They resemble a real spider except that they are larger than a human
and have nasty long range attacks.
All the enemy Spiders in the game right now are rangers.

In addition to the Giant Spiders there are smaller spiders found in the game (especially in Pre-Searing),
which are mostly harmless.

Types of Spiders.

Presearing Ascalon:
Deadly Crypt Spiders.
Giant needle Spiders.
Giant tree Spiders.
Moss Spiders.

Maguuma Jungle:
Maguuma Spider.

Ring of Fire island chain:
Lava Spitters.

Fissure of Woe:
Armored Cave Spiders.

--+--Scarabs--+--

A Scarab is a large insect
that has small hind legs and two large front legs that it uses for attacks.
They are generally found in the warmer areas of the game,
the Maguuma Jungle and the Crystal Desert.

Scarabs will usually be burrowed beneath the earth and will appear as players approach them.
They are fragile and cannot withstand much damage,
but a large number of them can overwhelm a party memebr or two.
Scarabs are often found in the company of other creatures
and are presently only found as melee attackers.

--+--Worms--+--

Worms are some of the weakest creatures in all of Tyria.
Worms pop out of the ground on the road between Ascalon City and Ashford Village
in Pre-Searing Ascalon and the Fissure of Woe.

Types of Worms:

Plague worm

lvl 20 R/
Skills used: Choking gas

Throw dirt (they are immobile why?)
(Rock Borer Worms are Worms that live in the Forest of the Wailing Lord.
They are sub-par foes compared to the others in the Fissure
and as such only add to the Worms' legacy of being lousy foes in Guild Wars.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------

--+--Wurms--+--

Wurms are gigantic worm-like creatures that burrow in the ground
and come out to strike at the unexpecting adventurers.
Wurms generally do not appear on the radar until a player aggros them;
then they will invoke a tremor that will knockdown that target and all surrounding allies.
Wurms will then come out of the ground to attack their target.
If the target tries to move, they will do the same manuever again.

Wurms are first encountered as Sand Wurms in the Crystal Desert
(where players are sometimes warned about their presence by bleached bones
or by seeing them devour other creatures at a distance).
They are then found in the Southern Shiverpeaks and the Ring of Fire Islands.

With the exception of Siege Wurms,
all other Wurms are mobile.
They are incredibly persistent in following their prey.
Despite their panic-inspiring stage entrance, great damage and thick armor,
a party has a much better chance standing its ground and attacking than trying to out run a Wurm.
They will follow for a very long time.

Types of Wurms:

Sand Wurm.
Location: Crystal desert
lvl 22
Skills used: none

Siege wurm.
Location: some missions in the crystal desert

------------------------------------------------------------------------

--+--Riders--+--

Riders are magical creatures that resemble a floating jellyfish with a thorny shell
and a gaping mouth below that shell.
The specific breed of Storm Kin is said to have been created by a once great mage named Cembrien,
but whether he was responsible for the other breeds in the game or whether all the breeds are magical
creations or exist naturally, is unknown at the moment.

Riders tend to be very fargile physically,
but also tend to be lethal spell-casters.
With the exception of Smoke Walkers,
all Riders in the game are Mesmers
and a pack of more then 3 will make any party think twice as they excel in interrupts,
hexing or energy drain, or a combination of the three.

Riders can be found all over Tyria except in the Shiverpeak Mountains.

--+--Behemoths--+--

Behemoths and Burrowers are huge beasts that live mainly underground,
with only a claw-armed head on a serpent-like head above the surface.
They are stationary beings, that don't leave their place under any circumstances,
not even to pursuit fleeing prey.
Usually they will be found waiting dormant,
with the neck retracted and the head resting on the ground on a collar of spiky rocks,
only springing to life when prey comes within range of their powerful ranged attack.
This appearance makes them look almost like harmless piles of rocks from a distance.

I hate them all even the real ones.
I hope ch2 is free of bugs especially those annoying devourers, nasty scarabs or unavoidable spiders.
