SOE being close to the top of that list is a head scratcher for me. I had terrible experiences with their CR Teams on Star Wars Galaxies(Pre-JTL) and Pirates of the Burning Seas. I have never played a blizz games so idk about them. ArenaNet's folks are top-notch except with what's his name dropping the HoM stuff is coming, "VERY SOON" remark....and then crickets.

Feck I like GW's a lot, but I'm not voting for Anet to win this title, as I don't believe they deserve to win.

i understand this list. GW isn't the best. The reason of this is because there are many worse ones out there.

What were the exact reasons that substantiated the award? Their GW1 fan base has diminished quite a bit, so please explain to me how they came across this award, Inde. Does the award account for the first few years of Guild Wars? Because if it accounts for the last few years, then I'm afraid I'd have to disagree with the outcome. A lot of the player base is furious at the moment [absence of updates, content, care].

Guild Wars? Are you sure they didn't mean Guild Wars 2?

EVE should win. Even if ANet did have official forums.

Copied from the other guild wars site we run.

This makes me think that we're lucky we aren't playing other games if this is the list of best community support for games.
Just imagine how the bad other games have it if this is the best.

Well, I posted some harsh criticism over on gw2guru about this but I think my major point comes down to the fact that there's just not all that much to do with Guild Wars right now from a CM standpoint.

Support issues are done by NCSoft, there's Gaile Gray toiling away trying to help players but ultimately this is not done by ArenaNet as I understand it. Don't particularly like the way NCSoft support works (and I'm sure many others share this sentiment) so that right there is a strike against ArenaNet that they can't control.

There's no major content that we know of to be released soon. We have outstanding issues and questions but really, there's not much to report on. They try to do a community roundup once a month, but besides that we don't have any "real" news that can keep something like the guildwars.com homepage updated.

There's barely any posting from them across the various fansites. Social media they seem to favor more but it's not really "information" just retweets of comments about Guild Wars and re-answering what they have all ready stated.

I'm sure it's frustrating for them though as well. But in reference to this contest, I don't know the criteria, or what time frame they are looking at for how and when they should be nominated. I don't mean that the ArenaNet dev's or CM's haven't done a good job over the years or that they haven't had their shining moments, but if we were to just go by recent activity and that involvement than I don't see ArenaNet outdoing any of the other games on that list. Those other games on that list are receiving updates, expansions and more. Their CM's are naturally more involved with the community because there is more going on.

I haven't played any of those games except, obviously, Guild Wars.

Therefore, if I had to pick one, I'd pick... EVE.
