Guild Wars: Beyond

Can someone briefly explain what GW:B is? I heard of it allot, but I don't get what it is. What I mean is, what effect does it have on the game? I know that there is the Shining Blade camp in Kryta and that LA was a bit expanded, and that there are some new monsters in the game, but I just don't get all the posts on the website. Example: INQUISITOR SCOURS BERGEN HOT SPRINGS - is that stuff just storry telling or does it affect the game in some way?

Some are story telling, some are actually tied into in-game happenings (most importantly, the Battle for LA). Check the above link to figure out how you can get to the actual in-game content (missions, bounties, rewards, etc).

So are they ever going to do anything else with Gwen or are we just going to forget that happened?

They've announced that there is going to be stuff going down in Cantha next. Perhaps bringing the Kurzicks and Luxons to heel? Or perhaps recruiting for the EV?

If you read up on Ebonhawke on the GW2 wiki, you'll know that Gwen will be asked by Adelbern to establish Ebonhawke, so that is probably the climax or end of GW:B

I would expect there will be mission(s) against Palawa Joko in Nightfall after the Cantha stuff is done.

I don't think there will be any mission against Palawa Joko because in GW 2 lore they don't hide that he now rules Elona and it's also GW 2 lore that the Luxons and Kurzicks don't get conquered until the next emperor.

they can do cantha and nf same way as wik - wik gave the partial story as we know white mantles are a big part of gw2 , they can easily do a minor tie in with lux/kurz that also gives part of the story for cantha in gw2 and same for nf.They dont have to have major epic stuff that features in gw2 because of the time diff between the 2 so they can give us small stories that have a tie in without killing timelines.Lux/kurz can have several things that happened before emperor easily - bounties for each side bosses , sabotage the enemy ( steal the turtles carrots or put weedkiller on juggernauts lol .
As for joko hell theres a ton of stuff that could be done as well - more wurm action , find out partially how he went about taking lands , actually get to fight him.
What can be done and what anet does are 2 diff things but i do hope what we get will be gd and entertaining ( new foes/bosses/greens maybe )

Well we could Just go fight him(Joko) and he pulls a sly move in the end of some cutscene after the battle and flees with his life.
Just an interesting thought

I would be happy just for a chance to find out more of Joko's backstory. How he came into existence, why he hates (or will come to hate) Sunspears, etc.

The important thing is the "Beyond" will continue. John Stumme, the new Live Team head, has said we will see material on Cantha and Elona and, of course, the continuing saga of Gwen and Lt. Thackeray. There is no stated times for the new material, so as usual, we just keep checking.

GW: Beyond is basically starting with the War In Kryta and the continuation of lore that bridges the gaps for the future story in GW2. For now we can only wait for the future additions to Evennia and Thackeray's loose ends, and we know from a recent interview that Evennia's story is part of something bigger, it's just on hold for now.
