How do I start the nightfall missions if i'm on a prophecies character?

I have tried googling and asking in all chat but no one has given me an answer that makes sense. I'm in kamidan already and i've done the quests, what do I need to do to start the missions?

Instead of the button under your partylist you should talk to the person with the strange green thingy hovering over his/her head to start missions.

In Nightfall they didn't want people running past 90% of the game like they could in prophecies. To fix this, they made you talk to an NPC as if it was a quest, and to continue everyone in the group has to have completed the previous primary quest.
Without this system, theres a point where players can skip more than 50% of the game.

Same system is in place for Eye of the North.
