Chrak is playing hide and seek...

Hey,

I tried to get to Lion's Arch Keep with my ranger, but Chark just won't appear..

Some points to summarize my situation:
- I have completed EOTN and Zinn's Task but not Prophecies (I know only one is needed, but I just had to try everything..)
- On my Dervish I've gotten to the Keep, but I haven't done anything else like quests, bounties things like that.
- I've tried to rezone to Arbor Bay: with MOX, with full party, only me, only me and my pet, only with heroes, only with heroes inc MOX, with another person who also haven't gotten to the Keep, with another person who have gone to the Keep.. Basically everything.
- Oh yeah, I have also looked at the 3 first dialogues in the Shining Blade Camp.

I'm really confused.. Did Anet nerf the trial recently?
I was also told it was a glitch or something, but is there a glitch that prevents a character to ever get to the Keep?

Please help :S

Did you complete proph, eotn, and Zinn's Task on your ranger specifically? It's per character. So whatever you did on your dervish is essentially irrelevant.

Yes I did (or at least zinn and eotn), so I have no idea why Chark won't show..

Umm you dont have to do Zinn's mox quests to get into the trail. my ranger hasnt and she has riverside assassin already. same for my other girls they did WiK first then mox quest if only to get the stones/tonics it gives.

As said in the first post, yes I know you don't have to do all of them, but its just to be sure.

* Make sure you have seen all the dialogues in the camp with your ranger. Go in the camp and if nothing shows up, you're done.
* IIRC, Livia has to leave the camp before Chark shows up. Double check if she's gone.
* What your Dervish has done has no effect on your Ranger. Double check if your ranger has completed EotN
* Chark is easily missed because he's quite small. Zone out into Arbor Bay. Turn 180degrees (X-key by default) then hold down the left Alt. He should be right next to the entrance.

Basicly all we can tell you is to double check if you meet all the requirements

Fastest way I know to get thru the initial stuff off WiK (as I did it myself on atleast 4 characters)

- Finish EotN
- Witness Zinn's Trial
- Witness the Dialogs in the HoM between Gwen and Thackery
- Do Thackery's Scavenger Hunt
- Witness one final Dialog in the HoM between the lovebirds.
- Witness the dialogs in the Shining Blade Camp (it will skip a few due to having done the others first)
- Witness the dialog between Evennia and the Vanguard folks outside EotN
- Enter the Keep witness the Vanguard ariving and start questing

Are you missing any of these ?

The little asura the starts zinn's trial has always been there directly after I finished EotN. That and having MoX seem to be the only requirements.

ok as wiki can be confusing ( specially with walkthru )
1. complete prophs or eotn
2. go to shining blades camp for 1st dialog
3. as above for 2nd dialog - quickway is thru south exit then return
4. shinging blades camp again for 3rd dialog - where evenia and livia are sent for recruits
5. go to arbor bay ( vlox falls outpost ) and do 180 and you should see the new asuran npc who lets you into zinns trial.
6. after trial return to shining blades camp for last dialog
7. See lion keep guard for access to keep.

Ive not yet done on any chr zinns quests so that isnt needed to be done
gwen an keiran only need be done as far as i remember for the scavenger hunt which leads on to having both shining blade helpers or one of a few ebon vanguard helpers

lol I've double checked, triple checked, and even checked once more.
I'm currently running around doing whatever I can, related to the War in Kryta, and we'll see after that.
