So reinstalled the client after years of not playing to complete the War in Kryta quests and I was told that I had to complete EoTN and wait for gwen and thackery to trigger a conversation in HoM.
That convo never triggered and to make matters worse.......the Asuran area is now covered on my map.........even though I vividly remember completing it (again I completed the game).
For reference, the central transfer chamber is open, I have defeated the great destroyer a number of times, heck I even bought chaos gloves........all signs pointing to me completing EoTN but for some reason I have not be credited with this. To go along with this, only half of my missions on my hero's guide book were credited.
I emailed Anet and I hope for swift response. I really don't want to do the campaign from scratch but I'll have to suck it up if it's the last resort.
Am I missing some key files since I'm playing on the client? Not sure what is going on.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Game is not recognizing my completion of EoTN

Are you sure you completed it with the character you had selected? Completing the campaign, doing WiK etc is all character based, not account based.
No character progress is stored on the player's computer, the only thing you download is the large data (textures etc.)
Other than a server roll-back I've never heard of anyone losing progress and one of those hasn't happened for a long time.

Yes I completed it with my ranger. My chaos gloves are on my rangers, access to great destroyer, etc are all on my ranger, etc. I even checked each of my toons to make sure.
It's really odd. Maybe I did something wrong during the installation? Or maybe I just didn't finish all the quests but somehow got to the last mission.
I know for a fact that I was in Rata Sum and the Asuran areas but that part of the map is totally covered for me. Just very odd.

You can't really do anything wrong, the game just downloads the required data.
Have you tried following the EotN storyline, just to see how far it lets you get?
I seem to remember there being some shortcut for being able to complete the campaign by jumping to the final Against The Destroyers quest without completing the rest, is it possibe you did this?
Do you have Umbral Grotto or Vlox Falls open? What about the Norn/Vanguard outposts?

I have every outpost including Umbral Grotto open save for Vlox Fall's, Tarnished Coast, and Gadd's Encampment.......these 3 are Asuran areas iirc.
I might have skipped some quests (unlikely though) but I do remember being in the Asuran areas.
Instead of redoing the campaign from scratch, perhaps would redoing the Asuran quests somehow lead me to 'officially' complete the game? I can get the quests from the pool in HoM right? I don't know why this is the lone area that is cordoned off for me even though I remember being there.

Well you can get to the central transfer chamber without doing any quests what-so-ever. So just double check, and try to enter "A Time for Heroes". If it lets you in, beat it and finishing the game should be recognized. If it doesn't then get a heroes handbook pay the 500g (or however much) to fill it out, see what you're missing and start from there. Good luck though.

If you don't have Vlox or Gadd's unlocked then you haven't completed EotN...Having CTC and Chaos gloves are not proof of EotN completion as CTC can be entered without having to follow the story and points for Chaos Gloves can be farmed.
Also if you try to have your book filled and it fills in all but the Asuran part this points to you not having completed the Asuran side.

I might add that I have 30k Asura pts (lvl 5) and im level 6 delver and level 5 norn.
I'm 100% positive that the Asuran land was uncovered for me once upon a time.
The ticket request I sent in was escalated to a senior team so I guess I will wait for Anet's response.
Looks like I'm going to have to do the campaign all over again.
Edit - So I got a new hero's handbook........apparently it gives you credit for like 5 missions right off the bat, so I fill out the 11 others I should once again get credit for completing the game?

This happened to one of my characters about 2 years ago.
I had completed Eye of the North but after a few months of not playing that character, it took away his progress. I had the Central transfer Chamber available for travel, and I could even fight the Great Destroyer, but on my map the Asura territory and Charr homelands were blurred over like i had never been there. And in my quest log it showed that I still hadn't done those storyline quests either (it showed that i still had the basic starting quest for both storylines).
I have no idea what causes the bug, but am happy to say that it never happened to me again. So my only advice would be to go through the Asura story again.

Thanks for the input. I wish Anet fixed a bug that existed years ago but no big deal, I'll just have to do 9 or so more missions and I'll be done the game again. It's tedious but on the bright side, I can earn more asuran, delv, norn pts.

How can u enter the Central Transfer Chamber without doing Destruction's Depth?? *_* And how can u do Destruction's Depth without having done all the alliances with the Norns, Asuras and Ebon Vanguard?

Source. I have also experienced this first hand.
