So, I bought the GW Trilogy + EotN on Steam the other day. I have a level 11 Warrior atm.
1) Why can't I see Eye of the North in the character creation screen?
2) Do you have to create totally new characters to play in each chapter/expansion/whatever. Like, I couldn't take my warrior from prophecies to nightfall?
Two really stupid questions

Unless I'm mistaken, you have to get to Lion's Arch in Prophecies (or other places in Factions & Nightfall) to take a quest that opens up EotN. Since EotN isn't a separate campaign, it's just an expansion, you don't create a new character to start there.
Once you get to a certain level with a toon in any campaign, you can get a quest/mission that opens travel to the other campaigns so you can complete all of them with one character.

Here is a link to the wiki page about Campaign Travel which will help you when you reach the port area. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Campaign_Travel
As said, EotN also requires that you reach a port city and be at least level 10 to obtain the quest. When you reach EotN area, if you are under level 20 you will be auto buffed while there to allow you to play the level 20 content.
