Too late to start?
Pluberus
Just had a quick question. I've had GW for a long time now, but I've never even finished one campaign (though I've had multiple L20 characters) - I always seem to quit when I get close to the end, and when I come back a few months later, I start over.
With the seemingly soon release of GW2, is it too late for me to start getting titles and such? I'm planning on completing Survivor on my current "main", and then trying to complete a campaign completely (Prophecies probably).
Anyways, what do you think? What are some relatively "easy" titles I could go for?
Thanks for your time!

EDIT:
Ah, I see this should of probably gone to Questions and Answers. Could a mod move this so I don't break any rules? Thanks!

I would visit the HoM Calculator, figure out which rewards you want for GW2 then work towards it through doing the easier stuff such as completing campaigns, dedicating miniatures, acquiring elite armour and heroes armour.
The wiki page about The Honour Monument is worth looking at too since some titles can be added without having to max them.
Good luck, you've got a while before GW2 is released so I reckon you'll be able to get most rewards before then.

I think you have plenty of time before GW2. I would recommend starting on protector titles(beat the campaigns with bonus in normal mode). Cantha(factions) would be the easiest. This should open up the map for you to help with other titles.

So, you still have time to get some rewards lined up for GW2.

There's lots of time, but I'm not sure how much "want to" you have. If you've never even wanted to complete a campaign then shooting for high numbers in the Hall isn't very realistic. If you just want to get to the Kitty or the Raccoon you shouldn't have much trouble. Concentrate on dedicating the mini-pets, displaying the hero armor and pets, and the honor statues that don't have to have a title associated -- You can get Hero of Tyria with very little effort and without doing most of the early missions, Sorrows Furnace, UW and FoW are all worth a statue just for playing the missions once. Easy and fun without grind.
If you decide to go for Protector of Cantha make sure you take the Shiro's Return book along with you when you go to get extra points toward your Kurzick or Luxon staue -- then you'll be able to vanquish in either Kurzick or Luxon territory, make the allegiance title, turn the acquired faction into amber or jade and get an elite armor that nets you an extra point on the armor stand and doesn't cost nearly so much, since you'll have earned the rare materials while earning the statue.
Do the War in Kryta content and display an Oppressors weapon and that's a couple more points without having to spend gold on it.

I have all campaigns except Factions.
And my dang altaholicism kicked in again. I'm making an Ele and going through all the missions, gonna try to finish the game. (I don't care about Survivor anymore)

Agreed. Plus, the completing the campaigns and vanquishing the areas is really fun. You get to see lots of pretty places.

OP is already finishing up Survivor?? I been playing this game off and on for 5 years and am up to 29 points but I didn't even bother with Survivor. Infact I hadn't beaten any of the campaigns for the first 3 years until NF heroes came out and made it much easier (no more waiting for Monks in missions!)

pay for a runner for the things you don't wanna do. My guildie pretty much had ppl run her through most of the campaigns

I think in 1 year or more of time till GW2 is out you'll get 50/50 not once but 10 times if you want to. No worries bro

Just play for fun. GW is still fun and enjoyable, especially if you haven't played it through yet. Keep the HoM rewards in mind, but play for the sake of GW's story and gameplay rather than future cosmetic bonuses in GW2 - they will eventually come along.

You mentioned having all 3 campaigns, but do you have EotN? If not, don't worry about titles. I'll write this assuming you do though.
It's probably one of the best times ever to get serious. The only thing lacking is a large group of people playing NM.
Just find an active PvE guild for that. You really only need about one buddy with heroes and you can blast through all 3 campaigns in a weekend. Go back and clean up, getting bonuses and masters' rewards and that's 3 titles there.
Get one lvl 20 pet (I recommend Black Moa) beat EotN, focusing on one of the 4 title tracks to max out, and continue with doing one at a time.
The Zaishen bounties and missions will make completing books and Guardian Titles mind numbingly easy.
The rest is pretty much being flexible and finding a guild or friends you can count on.

This. Just have fun playing the game to begin with, and once you've completed a campaign or two you'll find you'll be a fair way along towards several titles without even thinking about it.

Some clarification:
-I have all games (including EotN), EXCEPT Factions. However, I'll probably get that soon because I want to play through all the games in chronological order.
-For some reason, I figured Survivor was one of the easiest titles since you could just Kilroy farm all day. Turns out, it's not enjoyable doing that for hours on end.
