@Aeronwen: Thanks so much for the vote! ^_^ I'll update the site soon, but it's a bit difficult when nothing much changed in terms of happenings He's still progressing awesomely, we're both still doing all the healthy living and going to a gym.

@Hailfall: Thank you for the vote! Yeah, I posted a WIP thing on my Facebook of a Charr mannequin a little while ago (it looks funky lol)... getting reeeaaadyyy

Grats on getting the new goods.

Was the Asura made in Z-Brush? Looks like you're getting a hang of the program.

Thanks guys

@Charlie: I made that in a program called Sculptris, they are under ZBrush now.
I will eventually import the fully done Asura base into ZBrush for further editing and refining + probably retopo too, but the base mesh was done in Sculptris.
It was my first time using the program too. I can't say much else about it but that it's absolutely mindblowing.
I plan to do Charr female figure next.

I don't know if I'll be open to taking male character commissions yet (in GW2), so for right now I'm working on getting the female bases down

All righty, my Asura is pretty much done ^_^

What do y'all think?

Took approx 5 hours (so slow >_<), and of course I took a lot of liberty with body looks, no nekkid Asura references xD Not like I wanna look at a naked Asura much :P

Looking good, his earlobes look amazingly detailed. His shoulderblades look great too. He does come off a bit too blended/flattened though. I think putting in some sharp edges etc will make him stand out more

Thanks Tommy for the feedback
I didn't want to detail the body too much, since it's a base to work my future Asuras off of. The places I didn't want to put a lot of detail to was the front of the torso, seems like the most obvious place of differences for Asuras. =)

Once we know more about Asuras and more arts/screenshots are available, I might try to model one just for practice.

After a bit of a break because of RL things, I'm back to doing 3D stuffs.

Are you guys interested in non GW related 3D artsy stuff to be posted here too (to those I'm friends with on FB, I'm thinking of the Steampunk and the Asian [using it as my avatar here now] WIPs)?

Awws thanks DBAA ^_^

Well, here's the same post I have just posted over on GW2Guru.

Oki, so here are the steampunk girl WIPs:

Base sketch idea for my steampunk girl:

Steampunk stage 1
Started the pose:

Steampunk stage 2
I normally don't load the wings/accessories till the pose is done, but I did here just so you can see it.
Loaded Faraday too, he's so cute ^_^ (The little thingy she's "holding")

Steampunk stage 3
Loaded table, zoom for closer posing. It's still so crude...
I don't like that wing controlling handle, gotta turn it off later.

Lights are set up so-so, still refining the posing.

First render test. Not done with the posing yet. No lighting, just basics.

Changed the lighting, took the makeup off

Final picture (as of before photoshop), changed the lighting again, no makeup.
Render took approximately 7 hours.
Raytracing and 2 hairs combined makes for one damn slow render LOL

Put in background and fixed the lips... the upper lips were too big for my liking, and it looked like she was making a duckface...
Death to the duckface!

Some basic adjustments
