Hey, I've been gone from GW for a while now and thinking about expanding my HoM for GW2.
Now, I used to have a Black Moa on my Warrior, but now whenever I leave town with Charm Animal, I don't have a pet that appears.
I'm almost certain that I didn't get rid of it, any ideas?
Lost my pet?

Are you sure it was your warrior? Check your other characters. Also check your Menagerie as you might have turned it in to the Tamer there.
If you don't find it, at least a Black Moa is easy to capture again. It could have been a Black Widow Spider which would mean doing the Underworld.

You did go out into an explorable area, right?
By the way, you don't have to bring Charm any more unless you are actually going to charm something. Comfort and other skills work, at least in PvE.

As it wasn't mentioned already, did you also check your Warrior's heroes? Perhaps you had one of your heroes charm the moa instead of the Warrior him/herself.
If you can't find it from any of the suggestions and you did the Black Moa quest chain for the Kurzicks, then you should be able to charm a new one. Once a character has finished that line of quests, there should always be a charmable level 20 Black Moa out in Ferndale, a bit SW of the entrance from Aspenwood Gate outpost.

Charm is the wrong skill, you need Comfort.
