can't add koss to party

I've come back to gw and was going through my list of characters and started up my old assassin. Problem was that on my hero list Koss is still lvl 5 and his name is blacked out and i can't add him to the party. Any ideas? I did move this character over to nightfall when it first came out so this might be an old bug.

After completing the mission Consulate Docks which allows you to leave the starter area in Nightfall, Koss is "captured" and therefore unable to party with you until you complete the following quest (which I believe is actually called "Captured!"). Once you have done this primary quest you will get Koss back and can continue with the storyline.

Actually, the quest you're thinking of is called 'Hunted'. To regain Koss you also need to do the follow up quest, 'The Great Escape'.
