Hi, was wondering if its possible to add a campaign on..
my situation is that we bought the guild wars trilogy pack which included prophecies, factions, and nightfall.
Is it possible to buy eotn from a different website, receive a hard copy, download and install the campaign and accsess it for my characters?
I'm thinking it won't be possible because there would be a different icon on the desktop and everytime i would want to go into eotn section would I have to run the game from the eotn campaign icon on the desktop?

the major flaw in your thinking here is that you seem to think of eotn as a different game. It is still guild wars. Will still be acessed through the same desktop icon and everything.
so yes you can add it.

When you buy EotN, you'll get an access key. Follow the link on your log-in screen to add it to your account. There's nothing to donw-load, because it's already there.
Easy-peasy!

EotN is an expansion, not a campaign. This means it *expands* an existing campaign or set of campaigns. You can't install EotN by itself, but only on top of one (or more) of the three campaigns, by adding it to an existing account. So you have no problem.

Yes. You can add anything to anything as long as its not already added to the account.
To do this you need an access key (unless bought from GW store which directyl adds to your account). Access key will be in the hard copy of the game you bought. In terms of actually getting the game, most of eotn will already be downloaded onto ur computer. To get the rest just add a -image tag to the shortcut command.

To clarify:
There is no need to "install" anything to get access to EotN. You only need to add the access key to your GW account by following the link from your login screen.
Most (if not all) of the EotN content will already be in your gw.dat and anything that isn't, will be downloaded as you play. If you find that you are downloading a lot of stuff, you could run the game with the "-image" switch, to get it all.
