Trial Account Upgrade
Bellatrixa
I started a trial account to test whether my connection was fast enough to run Guild Wars before spending money on the actual product. Unfortunately, I didn't have the foresight to check the availability of the game in my city before I did so. I managed to pick up Factions and EoTN and am going to try and get a friend to purchase Prophecies and Nightfall for me online (setting up a Paypal in the meantime for myself). However, if I don't activate a key for Prophecies within my trial period, will I lose that character or will she just be unplayable until I get a key for Prophecies?

Please Note: The access key is one-time use and cannot be reused or transferred. The 14-day, 10-hour trial access key may not be used with an active Guild Wars® Prophecies game account. Guild Wars® trial accounts require activation with a retail access key at the end of the trial period to continue game-play.
I think you'll be ok

No matter what way you obtain the keys, be sure to add them to your current trial account. (Follow the prompts from the login screen.)

Your character from the trial will remain intact, but you won't be able to use that character until you add a proper Prophecies key to your account.

Yeah the issue I have with buying online is lack of Paypal/cards, hence the whole going via a friend. I've added the keys for Factions and EotN to the trial account already so that's not an issue. I was just concerned that I'd lose the character I started in Prophecies if I didn't use a key within the 14 days/10 hour trial period.
