I just finished my guardian title and then found out about Shiro's return handbook. Luckily I got all except the 1st mission to count cuz it was recent. 120k faction is not bad for it imo.
Is this one of the fastest ways to cap the kurz/lux titles?
10 mil is lot of books.
Are there certain quests that are worth doing for partial turn ins instead of a full book.
If not, whats currently fastest way to get to 10 mil, before I grab a few dozen hm books and go to town.
I still need to vanquish cantha so that's probably a drop in the bucket...
Shiro's return handbook worth it?

I have tried the book thing, and it's pretty slow. Had someone tell me to VQ Mount Quinkai, and I feel dumb for not reading the forums sooner. Granted, I only need the Luxon title to get to 30 (but that's a long way away as I'm only at 17).
Each run is 7000 luxon (+3000 additional if you talk to the priest to get the bonus for kills). So 10k Luxon per run, which counts as 20k towards the title if you turn it in as alliance rep. And, with my wife afk, I can clear the area in about 23 minutes using an MM, Mes, and Derv heros with the earth and both monk hench (I'm on my rit normally).
Hope this helps. On double vanq point weekends, you can rack up a lot of faction.

I got mine mainly through vanquishing, some with friends and some solo. I combined it with the Ziashen daily that gave Luxon faction when I could. For the last 500k, I mainly vanquished the Maishang Hills which gives 15k including bonus and kills. When my guild started pressuring me to get it done so we could go back to being Kurzick, I did three vanquishes on most days. In two months I had finished the title. I worked out a good route, put music on and ran though the whole area in about 40 minutes.

Those sound good. I mainly need the Kurzick, but if I go for gwamm...

For solo vqing I would recommend Silent Surf. Roughly 70 monsters will kill each other every time and with some practice the run goes about 1 hour, or less. I'm usually finishing in 48 minutes(avg after 27 runs). Each run ~18k with the bonus, so every hour you'll be able to add ~36k to your title track. If someone wants more details on the route just PM me, it's pretty easy.
To max the title, you're looking at 278 runs this way. If you can muster 3 runs a day(~3 hours...which is pretty hectic for casual people) it'll take you almost exactly 3 months(start now and be done before February!). However, there's probably going to be a double faction weekend in that time period once or twice, and if you set your weekend aside you can accumulate MASSIVE amounts of faction, even going solo(though, you might as well party up right?).
Just to give an idea how well multipliers can work:
If you can give 6 hours Friday, 8 Saturday, and 8 Sunday:
22 Hours total
Assuming 50 minutes per run = 26.4 runs
26 runs * 18k = 468,000 raw faction points
475,200 * 2 * 2 = 1,872,000 faction for the title(normally 936,000)
And of course you can fill your luxon faction bar before friday, which can give you a decent boost to start the double faction weekend. If this is a real goal for you, 22 hours on a binge weekend of farming isn't too bad, and it knocks out 1/5 of what you need(approximately equivalent to 18 days of doing 3 runs a day). Of course, speed clears will get you even more faction, so take that into consideration on a double faction weekend where everyone will be farming faction. And, obviously, the more time you spend on such a weekend, the more you can cash in on the 2x multiplier.
However, and hopefully I've illustrated it clearly here, books are a waste of time when it comes to farming faction. They're good if you want to reach R4 in the opposing faction of your guild, but even then I wouldn't bother filling them out more than once(getting Protector and Guardian being the main goal there). Note: this does not apply to reputation in EotN, books there can be very helpful.
While writing this I see you're more interesting in Kurzick faction. Since this is the case, I would recommend VQing either arborstone or ferndale. Ferndale is large, and a rather lengthy VQ but with practice it gets easier, and there are no individual groups in either map that are particularly difficult. Watch what you pull, do one group at a time, learn patrols, etc and it'll go by faster. Certainly faster than books. When VQing it is perhaps more important to mark how many kills you get per half hour or hour, rather than marking how long it takes to clear a map, because it is the rate you're concerned about. 100 kills per half hour is a pretty good pace in Factions(speed clears are quite faster).
