When does Halloween end?
novawhiz
What time do npc and stuff leave on Nov2? We talking early morning soon after mad king leaves final time or later at night?
A11Eur0
Whenever they push the update.
Darcy
Most schedules are based upon Pacific Time which is GMT -7 and most events, such as weekend stuff, ends at midnight Pacific time.

Major events work differently than weekend stuff. They have to push a new update that will remove the halloween decorations and NPCs. this typically happens early morning of the day after it ends.
novawhiz
alright. So we get nov2 to still do halloween stuff?

In a word that's less than 12 characters: yes.
novawhiz

Trader of Secrets

But in all seriousness, the times are based on PST. Either ending Nov 2 12am or 12pm

Now, if I understand the whole event process correctly, Halloween simply....ends. No build or anything, correct? I do recall something like that happened during the dragon festival, but I'm not 100% sure. (Probably about 87.8% sure )
gremlin
you know it would be really great if they posted all this stuff somewhere.
Guildwiki would be a sensible place we could have all the details of every festival start and finish times collectables rewards missions etc.
Oh wait they do every year

And Pacific Daylight Time is GMT -7
Quote:
The frightening festivities begin on October 21st and run until 12:01 a.m., Pacific Daylight Time, on November 2nd. While the main events take place in Lion’s Arch and Kamadan, you’ll find the Halloween spirit in other outposts all over Tyria. |

Eh, I dunno. I'm pretty sure the Mad King shows last at midnight the morning of the 2nd, and the NPCs remain to turn in any remaining quest rewards until some kind of update.

Mad King Thorn is part of the festivities as quoted above me....do you have a source for your conflicting argument? I'm too lazy to search.
Darcy
The Mad King only comes on October 31st. Here is a link to the wiki page with his schedule. If you want to check past years, you will find the links at the bottom of the page. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Halloween_2010
