Now that people are going to be getting Kurzick and Luxon armor for their HoM, the price of Amber and Jadeite has shot back up. This of course means that people are going to want to farm Amber and Jadeite via faction rather than buy them. Problem is, Anet raised the faction cost per material to 5,000 instead of 1,000 (what it used to be) to keep Amber and Jadeite from dropping too low in price. Now that such is not likely to happen anytime soon, I feel that it is reasonable that the faction cost for Amber and Jadeite be returned to 1,000 faction per material.

How long ago was it changed ? and how comes only now does someone moan lol.
So what if the prices rise - its supply and demand after all and the only ppl who are crying are those who dont do pvp and buy from other players.
My wife maxed her lux title ages ago and she doesnt complain about the faction price when she converts the faction to amber/jade.
Those who do sc for faction dont complain - heck they are on something mad like 50k faction an hr and mq can be normally vq in 20 mins so thats 3 runs of 10k ( 30k an hr ) .
Anyone complaining yet about the cost of saphires/rubys/ectos ? cant really say ive seen anyone yet and their prices are high ( saph/ruby ).

With the new options to farm faction you can farm them much faster then when they used to be 1000 point each.

Their prices have been a joke for too long.
If they get higher, so be it. They are not gems, but they are still gemstones.
I won't mind the increase in title profress, though. If you get the jade for yourself, it's probably to make an armor of that faction with it, and if you sell them, you make easier for other players to get armors of that faction, so it's a bit like with the skills, you are 'supporting' that faction that way.

Does anyone remember when "buying" with faction gave you nothing on the title tract and "donating" gave you normal amount rather than twice?
Even then, that is the point of the buying. You are turning your faction into something else, rather than turning it into points on a title. Either get 1x faction on the title and get amber/jaedite, or get 2x on the title by not getting anything else. Trying to argue that you should get both at the same time is just absurd.
And my guess as to why Anet raised the prices on jaedite/amber was the fact that they had greatly increased faction gains across all formats several times since faction's release. It used to take several hours farming to get 10K lux/kurz faction (which was needed to progress in the game), as opposed to now when it takes maybe 2 AB's.
