Ohh, I've done tons of dumb things...
-Selling a Draconic Aegis for way below street price.
-Salvaging a rune off 15K armour and causing its destruction (yes, that's quite a bit of money to me).
-Joining a team for a mission or something then realizing I forgot to change attribute points after switching builds.
-Or accidently loading the same Spirit build on my second Ritualist Hero and realizing that I did in the middle of a dungeon.
-Forgetting to turn Lightbringer on when going in the Domain of Anguish with Heroes and wondering why I do so much worse than the previous run, and realizing I forgot near the end of the run.
-Going into Random Arenas without bringing a Signet of Resurrection.
-When helping my friend with a quest, forgetting to change my build because I was still on a running build, making me practically useless the entire quest.
And probably many more things I can't remember right now.
Name the dumbest thing you've done in GW.

About a year ago my guild was getting ready to GvG.
While we were lounging around in the guild hall, I removed my ranger's chest armor and started dancing (for s***s and giggles). Well, the party leader hit the enter battle button and before I could tell him to stop so I could replace my shirt n opposing team was found.
I had to fight for 20 minutes with no chest armor...the part of the character that gets hit the most.

I accidentally merched a pair of Asuran spectacles.
I once had a black dye drop near a portal and accidentally ported through it before I can pick up. (not really that dumb, I don't think I could have picked it up regardless)
Probably the dumbest thing I did was blow my fortune on a bunch of everlasting tonics not realizing that they were not limited release and that the same ones would keep coming out every year (dropping their long term value).

We're so good at GvG, we even get bodyblocked like real pros!

A tie between these two things:
Buying a Storm Bow without an inherent mod for 80k back in the day.
&
Rune farm at ettins/tengu for months when Sup vigors & absorps were 100k each, gathering up Millions, only to eventually spend it all and nowdays having absolutely nothing to show for it. Perhaps due to doing stupid s**t like buying Storm Bow mentioned above.

Salvaged atleast 2 sets of 15k that I can think of, they were rage salvages after armor broke trying to pull the vigor rune.
Merched an eaglecrest axe about 5 minutes after I got it, it was req 11 or 12 so I just thought it was fodder.
Sold my wintergreen bow for 10k. I had just returned to the game from an extended absence and was not aware the market for wintergreen stuff had gone way up.

Reading these makes me feel a little bit better. Just finished leveling my Rainbow Phoenix today.
Imagine the feeling when entering the HoM only to find you've done the wrong one. Then imagine that just the day before you were running alongside a guild mate who had the right one (Imperial). Apparently, I thought they were equal.
