Hey, I know this might sound a little absurd, but a friend and I were talking today about our previous experiences with heroes. We we're in FoW when we realised we had all died except 2 heroes. We noticed you can't see the minimap or any enemies when you click on their name in the party window. What's up with that? We flagged the heroes where we thought safe but it was right into death.

IDEA: What if we could play as one of our heroes if we die or the heroes have to flee, then we can make it so the rest of the heroes follow the player (lets use Livia as an example). So I died, and I took Livia's place. I controlled her to go to a spot using normal WASD and the heroes followed her instead of my dead body... or at least make it so we can see the enemies on the hero's map. If you're catching my drift please reply with some more ideas or if you agree!

I thought you COULD see things from their perspective when you click on them in party o_o I swear I've done that before...

In a way I guess you CAN play as them in terms of being able to dictate what skills they use and flagging is still a way of moving them :/ I get what you're trying to say but in an obliqué way, we can already do it. I see the having full control of a hero as you would your own char as a "second life". I dunno, seems to take some of the challenge out of the game. I can see how it'd be useful IN PLACES but so exploitable in others.

You can see the map from their position but not enemies. I agree that the map should show enemies, but not that control should be an option. They're heroes, and you brought them knowing full-well their controls and how to maneuver them. I've had a single hero save me from a near wipe situation more than once by good positioning. It did take a little bit of luck though due to not being able to see enemies.

Your Hero view can see enemies when they get close - but it's too close. What I do in that sort of situation, is to switch (back and forth) to my view to determine where foes are in relation to the Heroes, and then switch to their view, if needed, to move them.

Anyway, your's is not a bad idea, but it's not likely to ever happen at this point. You'll just have to learn to use flags.

The one thing I always felt was a missed opportunity was being able to just switch to any hero/hench in your party at the click of a button, weather you're still alive or not. Many console/PC RPG's have this as a feature and it often helps dramatically when you can use specific members directly, plus it's more often fun just to play as them.

I see no problem with this, but in addition to the idea I always wanted to see new added missions which absolutely rely on it.
