This was my entry for the 2010 Halloween art contest, but alas, it was not picked. However, I really wanted to share this pattern with the GW community in case someone wanted to make it, so /newthread! :3

I think I still have yellow and orange yarn left over from making my boyfriend's Jayne hate. If I have enough, I might just give this a try XD Even though I am fail at colorwork. Excuse to really give it a try!

What was the yardage per skein that you used, and how much of each skein was actually used up?

Aww, this is sooo cute and creative! I've only done basic scarves, but I'd like to give this hat a try, and if it goes horribly, horribly wrong, I can just say it's artistic license and supposed to be warped and scary for halloween

D'aww, this is so cute! I wish I could knit, and wholly understand the chart. Dx How difficult a skill is it to pick up? Totally want to make a beanie for my boyfriends' birthday.

Eeks - knitting is actually really easy to learn. I learned a few years ago with the videos from this site. It can be tricky to get the hang of but once you do it's literally just a case of everything building on two stitches. And it's fun

Amazing work! Must get this pattern sent to my grandmother who never has a clue what to give me as a gift! This will make her day that I actually request a knitwork piece!
